  • please teach me...MASTER

  • INSANE!!!

  • wow,,am only 15,,,am likee,,damn,,i need to get my tone like dat

  • Nice clear sound. You seem to use your air to achieve the high notes instead of pinching like alot of players do. Just work on the tone a bit and you could be a fantastic jazz/latin player if that is what you are shooting for and aren't one yet already of course. Nice work!

  • just noticed u let alot of air slip out the side, still sounds really good

  • nice dude

  • Wow great sound man. Throughout my 12 years on the horn I could never get up that high. I was and will always be a low note expert. I marched 08, 09 Scouts and when I was auditioning for 09 John Schipper (Scouts 95,96 soloist) asked me to play some high notes and our trumpet tech started laughing...good times.

  • Way to rep alabama..........ur fuckin badass man......real shit.

  • hey can u send me the sheet music plz

  • anyone know where i can get sheet music like this off the web?

  • always good to hear you!

  • wow, i hope one day i will be as good as you! How long have you been playing! I have for about 6 years.

  • hey do u have like a chart or something of that song?

  • i heard NSU do this solo is amazing compared to theirs.

  • Great tone, and very clear high notes

  • Fantastic tone , and my cousins live in mobile alabama lol

  • awsome

  • pretty impressive honestly, you should play more standing up get more air through those lungs!

  • You remind me of a trumpet instructor thats about 26-27. Both you and him make that high note stuff look easy. Keep it up!

  • the last note is an a, i am able to play the f right below double g, which to some people i guess sucks, but i am only a sophomore. thanks to this video, and my near perfect pitch, the second time i tried to play this lick, i was able to nail it and impress some buddies in band class.

  • @cacguitarplayer it's not a double G. The double G is above double C. The G you are talking about is just a high G.

  • @wannaplaytrmptjmu that makes sense. i wasnt too sure what it was called, so thanks for straightening that out for me!

  • omgfg that amazing

  • Fantastic ...

  • AWESOME!!! i so wish i could play like that! you make it seem so easy!! haha. i've been trying so hard to find malaguena music for a trumpet ensemble any ideas?

  • wow. was that last note an A?

  • Wow...cool. How high is that?

  • Good high notes. Look at the key signature, read the rythms right, and use dynamics and it would be great.

  • i'll get on that thanks

  • LOL

  • @trumpetman33 what a dumbass. seriously.

  • @trumpetman33 what a douche statement lol

  • All I can say is wow that was real good. Just wondering is that a burbank your playing

  • well thats cool, all your hard work is definitely paying off,is trumpet always gonna be a big part of your life even if you don't major in it? or are you just gonna pick your horn up every now and then. I cant imagine someone being able to play like that and not have a serious career for it, but as long as your doing it and you like it is all that counts

  • Thanks for the compliment, your really good leevil.

  • well to be honest i'm not serious about anything i wish i was and I need to be but its hard sometimes I just want to have fun. I love playing more than anything so yea its important. I didn't take private lessons till I was 18 and I only did it cuz I was a music major for a year in a half and i had to. so I guess I taught myself

  • how long have you been playing dude

  • 6 grade so about 9 years

  • awesome..were you always "serious" about your playing or when did it become important to you? n did you take private lessons or you all self taught?..sorry bout all the questions, im just curious lol

  • where you nearly as good when you were still in high school?

  • that was an amazing high A? right it was an A right

  • haha nice. Thats the stock chart solo right? I haven't heard that in a long ass time. What are you playing on ... mp?

Everyone is a critic man. If its not, "how about playing the right notes" or something like "how about you use a non cheater's mp". Most of these guys can't play, thats why they talk trash.

  • woOW you´re really awesome!

your tounge is a little bit hard but i lov your sound in higher register!!!

  • What is your email. I'll send it to you. This solo make the Malaguena solo sound like sisi.

Just message me with your e-mail and make sure it can accept mp3.

  • That's one of the easiest solo to play from the old 1980's. Try the solo from the song "Taboo."

  • WOW, you get high my friend!!! I know a lot of people who play trumpet, but never have heard anybody playing that high with such ease as you do!!!

Btw, how were you abloe to put your status as musician??

  • Yeah Man...you rules!! thanks for the add.

    Greetings from spain

  • how do you get that high??????????????!!!!!!

  • Free buzzing will not give you range. The only way to attain range is to continue making music on the trumpet. Range is what you get when you when everything else about your playing is on the right track. Ask most of the pros what they do. They actually think that all this magical range building crap is hilarious.

  • Well on that note. haha im a trumpet player and every is not on the right track for me but if an a is magical range then yes ihave magical range. and lee doesnt do everything righ and all aspects of his playing is not perfect or even on the right track and i know this cause im hot and your not. jk but really i do here him play like every other day in real life and he has flaws just like me and every other trumpet player in the world(minus Arturo Sandoval) but yeah i just thought i would add that

  • Free buzzing doesn't work for you is that you don't understand it. It's about getting the lips to learn to vibrate & learning a 'm' lip setting. At a certain point range-wise, the trumpets impedance becomes almost nothing. At this point you will be buzzing the note with the help of the mouthpiece pressure alone... Too much mouthpiece pressure can damage the chops. More lip-engagement and less mouthpiece pressure and you will be and sound.

  • By the way... why don't you tell ARTURO SANDOVAL that lip buzzing is bull because he uses it and advocates its use by trumpet players! In fact, a lot of pros have used to to find the best lip set for them. You are merely ignorant.

  • i was not referring to free buzzing when free buzzing you use air to buzz your lips so thats what i was referring to it is physically impossible to buzz your lips without using air. i said nothing about a mouthpiece or pressure or freebuzzing

  • Wasn't acutally responding to you... lol :-)JokinJoe actually.

  • oh my bad the arturo statement thru me for a loop m bad

    sorry about that

  • wow, teeaacchhh me

  • man swear you are amazing....if you haven't you should really consider professional trumpeting...

  • wow that was awesome. the malaguena solo is like the best trumpet solo EVER! Whenever I am talking trumpet with someone I always bring up this solo.

  • Ok Yesterday i was being lazy the mouthpiece i play on is a j.marcinkiewicz e10.3

    or a shew 1.25

  • shew? O.o marcinkiewicz?? haha im using a 7c!! can i do it with a 7c?

  • what mouthpiece are you using

  • did you march corps?

  • no i did not i cant walk

  • Awesome man! Don't see nothing bored to me when you're playing it.

  • great playing

  • holy crap, that was awesome, u sound like a dci kind of player

  • you should be more bored, it sounds great :-)

  • You have a great sound.
