  • Somehow, it's amazing to see a takeoff on Youtube like this.

  • Is it my impression, or even the PW4000 for 777s are less noisy than the GE-90 and RR engines for 777?

  • Ahhhh United Airlines Flight 876. Great video!

  • how dare anyone rip on the pw's for being the runt of the 777 family. no other engine has that badass howl signaling a takeoff

  • @praetorian2150 You couldnt have said it any better, I dont like Rolls or GE engines, they just dont sound butch like the PW, Glad UA went with the pratts!

  • what seat is this?

    great video

  • Climb thrust automatically set @ 1:52 :)

  • Great sound! GE90 Sucks!

  • Was your trip to Japan a nice experience?

Or was it just an business trip? :)

However , I didn't know that Japan was such a green country... ^^

  • I love the sound when the plane just turns into the runway to take off and it just gets faster

  • i loveeeeeeeeeeeee to travel by plane!!

  • are you kidding? that sound rules!

  • awesome

  • my dream is coming TRUE!

  • YES YES super power!

  • for some reason I seem to like the PW sound during taxi...but the takeoff sound is awesome :)

  • @airplanecrazy1989

Nothing beats the sound of the R-2800 radial they made back in the 40's although performance wise they are a far cry from the 100, 000 + lbs of thrust those PW4000 series make

  • Love that sound!

  • how long was this flight.

  • 8 hrs

  • The twin-engine jets have come a long way, tech-wise and power-wise, since I first flew on a twinjet in the mid-70's. BTW the first jet I ever flew on was a Boeing 737, Piedmont Airlines.

  • That 777 must have been packed to capacity. The pilot used alot of runway and climb of a shorter pitch. I think the pilot wanted to gain a lot of airspeed.

  • they can have but somtimes its to save or preserve the engines.

  • Excellent vid. Great job.

  • You just need to listen from the sec 0:25 to 0:31.. looks like the engines were playing a song! xD

  • would anyone please be kind enough to tell me if there are any other airlines that use this engine on the 777? thanks!

  • ANA uses PW4000s on their 777-200/ER and 300 fleet.

  • Is this United 777 in the old gray and blue livery or the new white and blue?

  • you can see that it's the new livery at the beginning of the video

  • I did not see that at first.

  • Tis is from the Boeing website. Asiana Airlines, Air China, Egyptair, Japan (on 8), Korean Air.

  • Screamfreak, United sometimes makes the ATC available to passengers, at the captain's discretion, via their entertainment system. I think JAL (Japan Airlines) has the same.

  • this vid is fab... keep da gd work up

  • THis seems like a full power takeoff as it was off the ground in just over 30 seconds.

  • my friend is in tracon for this airport. ive been there over 10 times. I hate taxiing there cause it takes like 10 minutes just to get anywhere.

  • Nothing quite like having two giant engines with 90,000 pounds of thrust each, like on this 777, to get you into the air. Experienced this kind of power on an AA 777 twice..they too have two giant engines producing 90,000 pounds of thrust each.

  • Noce view of the PW4090

  • cool i want to go to toyoko

  • did you see britney spears in a concert?? =O=O

    wooow

    lucky ^^

  • camera do not jam the atc at the takoff dumbasses !!

Interferences from those devices ar not stronger enough to distract the atc, telephones are a bit more stronger but not enough !

  • i was told they do but not to atc,i was told electronic stuff used by you interferes with the pilots stuff

  • Video cameras don't cause interference, most cell phones, as well as radios, does. Hope that helps.

  • the 777 has the best climb rate of any widebody aircraft it is amazing

  • Not only that, it's takeoff roll is remarkably not that long...it's a rocket. And one of the reasons it has such a great climb rate is because it's wing is the most efficient in aviation, and that is a fact.

  • iknow i fly on UA's triple 7's as much as i can between their hubs

  • About 240km/h. Are you kidding me 920km/hr ?

  • It does not interfere with communications, so stop whining, theres tons of this stuff on youtube, and cameras do not transmit anything.

  • Thanks for sharing the great video!

I can hear PW4090 engine sounds well!

    However, R/W is not 16 but 34L!

  • a great video and a great aircraft,we will fly to San Francisco in June 2008 with the UA B-777

  • I'm so sorry.
