@MrNatapat My current favorite active band after KISS farewelled in '01. I went to San Diego (5/14/2011) with two of my best friends, Elly and Josh. Josh is a fluent Japanese speaker so we saw a LOT of the band after the show :) It was two weeks before my 46th birthday and it still feels like it was today.

@MrNatapat I don't know right now. The last time I saw them before San Diego was at the Kabuki Theater in San Francisco in 1985 with KEEL and a local band called Ruffian. One recent news story said that Japanese bands might be be blocked from touring the West because of paranoia after the nuclear accident in Japan, which would ABSOLUTELY suck.

The manager told us (through Josh) that the band is working on getting an American record deal again (which would RULE). :)

@beardrums Talking to the band after the San Diego '11 show was great, but it was hard talking to Akira because as soon as he showed up outside EVERYBODY swarmed -- it was a feeding frenzy. Easiest people to talk with are Minoru and Masayoshi. :)
