Dude ! I want a hippie just like that! I'll keep him in my closet, throw him a few beers and joints every once in awhile and take him out whenever I require a nice '60's or '70's song! Where does this hippie spawn? I gotta get me some of that!
Just a smashing cover man. I never usually bother with covers as they usually disappoint me but man u blew my mind just now!! Any other Hendrix tunes you cover?
Wow fucking amazing, hey baby (new rising sun) has such a euphoric feeling to it. Best version ever done I think is the 2nd set of jimi plays Berkley. It is my life time ambition to do justice to that song, you certanly have. wicked band and the set looks like a dream.
Thank you Rudy, That was beautiful. It nearly brought tears to my eyes. I grew up loving Jimi and that was my favorite song. You brought me back to the very first time I heard it. Those were the days. 1972, Rainbow Bridge. Shit man what happened to us?. Jimi gave us love and some of us turn republican anyway. I believe he was murdered. But he lives on through people who loved him like you.
Very nice. I have lied to myself for years thinking that I would take the time to learn this song. Well I'm still working on it. You guy's however play it very well. Good work.
Weirdest style I've ever seen. big guy, tiny guitar, short shorts. I'm just joshin man YOU GUYS WERE AWESOME! I would have done the vocals a little different but that's just me. Sweet venue, gear, sound, 10/10 on this one man.
where are these guys at their great. Looks like they are playing at the zoo. Nice hendrix vibe tone there too.. That guitar is tiny! See dont matter what you play, long as you can play it. ha ha
finding that tone has gotta have something to do with that Marshall Plexi full stack in the background! Wish I had one of those! or more like 3 of them
hey! what key are you playing in for this song? and what scale do you use when you solo over the verse chords?...i'm trying to learn how to play this song.
wow, that was just spectacular! ususally i sorta get annoyed by when people try to to hendrix songs because they dont make them sound good or they only like a couple of his songs and they just do it because they think its cool. but i just love this, the heart and the emotion and the work you put into this was just spectacular, great video
I've been playing guitar for fifteen years now, and always thought this would be a pinnacle experience to play this song like this and do it the justice it deserves. Nice work man, this is sick. So is Saturnia a state of mind or a real place? :)
Saturnia/Pittigliano is a place in Italy where this was recorded. There is an annual meeting of Hendrix lovers and many bands playing. Check on my homepage under "News".
Hi Rudy! Another nice one......you nail it, 'bro. Jimi would be proud. It looks like a beautiful area you were playing in, too. Thanks for posting, and keep bringin' the magic....Darrin
Beautiful music, indeed, Jimi would be proud, but let us hope these are not the clothes he's gonna were on the gig... Not that it matters but thoug... :p
That was awesome, You convey such emotion through your soloing, you don't even need vocals, it sounds cheesy, but its true. Can you post some solo techniques you use, you have some sweet licks.
good stuff man. You have the gift of playing good guitar, and unfortunately that's rare these days. I'm 17 years old and I can say that most stuff out there is crap compared to your playing. Put it to good use, and of course, Jimi's song is inevitably wonderful.
thank you for your appreciation, I am trying to carry on the message, mostly teaching and stuff. Life's ahead of you brother, one day you will have the task that I'm having now.
(sorry for my english :) ) you're great ! that's almost it ! i'd just love to say that i'm amazed with the way you feel THE music you play :) brilliant - million stars :)
PS: i'm very sceptic about playing master's tunes, but you rock ! :)
I really dig your sound and you certainly have the Hendrix style down, it takes alot of heart for that ya know. This is the stuff that lifes all about.
that's awesome!!! you have a great feeling that we can admire in your solo! I'd like to know what you did to become such a great guitar player... the bass man and the drummer are great too! that's my favourite song from hendrix and you I love the way you played it with personnal improvisations... :)
thank you for your comment, I have been playing the guitar for a long time and appreciate that you listen to feeling and not speed and technique.I believe that this song was one of Jimi's favourites as well. I love this song too.
hey sound great.. i'll check out the digitech pedal.. seems weird.. 7 models of sound..
you must have used the star spangled banner mode of the pedal since it is the only mode that has the univibe in it... how flexible is the pedal.. could you use the univibe wihtout the distortion also.. and do you like the other modes of tone also. how authentic is it?
It has 7 basic sounds but at least 7 more distorted variations if you use a footswitch. You can change a lot of things in the basic setup. Of course the combination with an amp does the rest. Of course all of this is very personal and a question of your own taste. I find the sounds the best Jimi sounds so far and pretty authentic. Yes the univibes also goes with less distortion. On my homepage you can find a Hendrix cover CD, where I use other sounds as well.
oh boy, surfing the net you sometimes stubble on peaces of music like this.
this is really good , my respects to the musicians.
the heart of jimi is got here, and that must be always te focus whenever performing hendrix works.
greetings from Herman.

I am also critical of people that play Jimi's music.
As long as I think it would make Jimi smile it is alwright with me.
I think you bring Joy to Jimi's Loving Spirit, you did mine. Thank You!
One of my fav songs. Maui Sunset also.
I saw A. King, Buddy Guy, A.Collins, all playing their own compositions. I feel lucky.
Someway I'm betting You have scene some of those artists also.
A. King pllayed some psychodelic stuff.
Not like songs that I have heard on albums. 5 Star
