  • Dear GoldenReddy,Ghallu,Ghallu sounds are not emanated from silver anklets but they come from "Muvvalu",whuch are made from Bronze ,a brass alloy. The art &science of metallurgy is well known to Indians ( Look at the pillar near Kutub minar in Delhi ,the composition of which could not be solved by any of the western scientists who boast somuch about themselves and interestingly it never rusts!!!) from Vedic times and they seem to have used it rightly for even in Arts (Sculpture) & Music .Thanks.

  • @MrGOLDENREDDY Sir,you were so right with your expression of happiness that people were just forced to say thanks to you.Absolutely sir, when we live abroad, its our common interests that let this mind pooling to happen. We all express our happiness and it enriches our lives a lot. Thanks so much to technology, what would we do without it sir?

  • raja sir u r amazing piece of lord brahmas creation long live sir

  • I will post the remaining translation soom

  • Note that there is discontinuity between meanings of adjacent lines. Thats because alternate lines are sung by male and female singers who are expressing a totally different perception. She is dancer but not a believer of arts and wants to lead a lavish life and he is an ardent fan of dance, her and her dance!!

  • Translation Part 3:

Let your foot go as it becomes the residence of rhythm. With your pace like that of cool breeze, you should equal the flower babies.

Can the wind be seized in a net? Who is the guru teaching dance to a cascade?

Does the rounding time has a trend? Even if it has it can't be understood.

Does the arrogant, divine Ganga has any value if it doesn't reach the matted locks of Shiva, the lord of dance?

  • I will post the remaining parts later. Please excuse me if there are any mistakes!!

  • Translation Part 2:

Frisk like lightening with the resonating sounds(Ghallu ghallu) of the silver anklets! The sky will be ecstatic and its body will swell with waters of joy.

(Tolakari means the start of rainy season.) Let the Tolakari commotion continue to flow into streams.

Go forward with speed that doesn't have any boundaries!!

  • Translation Part I:

My English is not that good. Will try my best to translate this song

Frisk like lightening with the resonating sounds(Ghallu ghallu) of the silver anklets!

The sky will be ecstatic and its body will swell with waters of joy. Let the dark clouds sprinkle cold droplets of rain and let the earth be enraptured with the initiation of green vegetation.

It has everything in it : Bhanupriya's feminine grace, excellent dance, The Lyrics, Laya Raju Ilayaraja's fantastic music as usual, and the great Viswanath gaari picturisation. • Annaa Mr.Reddy!! I appreciate your efforts..no doubt Telugu is sweet. But English is not insufficient. We r insufficient in explain or translate the same beauty. My self being Telugu....read so many Tamil, Kannada and Bengali Novels...every time I go through a good book of any language I felt like one should learn that language to appreciate it (just because I am insufficient to translate the great into Telugu)..Hope u take it positive. BTW this song is awesome indeed.

  • ee tellodiki kuda ee pata artham kadu.....

  • I luv this movie...esp of the songs+bhanupriya's fantastic dancing skills n expression...none of the actresses come close to her beauty, acting n dancing skills...she is so underrated :-(.

  • Hi,

Lyric by Seetarama Sastry and singers SPB & P.Suseela

  • Yes the lyricist is SIRIVENNELA SITARAMA SHASTRY. but its quite natural on getting confused as we do have maesro VETURI who is fond of wrinting in this styleeee

  • Hello Uploader! should appreciate your post that too with lyrics which help some......but couldn't stop commenting.............whoz the lyricist?

    check again......its Sirivennela....not Veturi.

Plz correct it @ 0.48 time line of the song.

  • ys Female singer is Susheela garu...

  • K. Vishwanath and Ilayaraja's masterpeice

  • i think this song was written by sirivennela not veturi.

  • Marvellous Song,One can easily understand the influence of being born Telugu...

  • swarna :gold, kamalam:lotus.

this is my mother tongue telugu, how to explain this feelings ,english is insufficient to run along with this flow of feelings and words. Now i understand why telugu is so sweet, all words ends with vowels.ok, nalla mabbu :black cloud , merupalle: lightning like, ghallu ghallu:sounds of that silver anklets.jhallu jhallu: the feeling when cold water sprinkled on you in winter.layake nilayam: the source of rhythm. thirige kaalaniki: rounding time.

  • Boss,

You explained meaning very well.when I was listenig , i ahve not observed the meaning. You explained very well.Yes our Telugu is sweet.Fortunate to born in Telugu state

  • @MrGOLDENREDDY In Telugu all words ends with vowels, thats the reason Telugu is called as Italian of the east.

  • @MrGOLDENREDDY yes,so true.Lovely explanation.

  • This song is very beautiful. I like the tune very much. What are they singing about? Could someone please tell me. Thanks.
