I agree w/ you. I belive it's because of higher displacement to make more horsepower due to smog legality issue. Sure they can make F1 engine that can make over 600hp from 2.7liter but than these lawmaker doesn't want that...since they can't afford to have their own. Displacement of enigine must be lower to have that F1 sound.....

Current F1 cars are actually restricted to 2.4 litre V8 engines (not 2.7 h2jn) reportedly producing 750-800BHP without KERS. I personally think the older and bigger 3 litre V10s sounded better though.

@ no1joey, that's not entirely true. Exotic body kits do exist. This particular Ferrari doesn't have one, but they are out there. They're not usually complete bumper replacements like you'd find for Hondas and such - more along the lines of carbon add ons, lips, that sort of thing. Hamann makes kits for Ferraris, and Premier is working on kits for Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, the F430 and more. Question is, why would you wanna bolt body kits onto these beauties?! I like them the way they are.

I have no idea what the argument here is, but my father does own one, had a 360 previously, and I've driven and drifted both. I've done the same with a CLK63 BlackSeries, E46 M3 (I own), and an E92 M3 (dad owns).

F430 is amazing all around. CLK63 BlackSeries is an amazing track car. M3s are excellent street performance cars :-)
