Those Indiana teams from 1991-1993 were pretty awesome and well coached. I remember in h.s. betting a kid 5 bucks that Indiana would beat UCLA in this game.

Bailey was a soph in 91-92. Henderson was a freshman. Bailey won the 90 IHSAA title which was his senior year. Henderson lost the 91 IHSAA title game to Glenn Robinson and Gary Roosevelt. Indiana did get screwed by the refs in 92 against Duke. I also agre that if Henderson was not injured in 93, that they would have been the champs. They only lost once in the Big Ten in 93 to OSU. They were #1 in all the polls before the 93 NCAA Tournament started. I miss Bobby Knight and IU winning!

Ya the only people that Indiana couldnt beat at this point was the refs in the Duke game.. Ted Valentine was a big Ten official that had it out for Bob Knight. Most of IUs players fouled out, a mystery technical on the IU bench, all added to the end of a great run and a great team. These guys played hard and disciplined and werent cocky or flashy like the fab 5. Miss watching these guys. Eric Anderson was awesome, Damon Bailey was at his best his freshman season and Alan Henderson was amazing

That entire Starting 5 for UCLA made it to the NBA. And Indiana was better in 93 but lost in the Elite 8.

@Grapes428: Yeah, I don't know how Indiana lost to Kansas the next year. Kansas overachieved in 1991 and 1993 in getting to the Final Four, but lost with better teams in 95, 96, and 97.

@sptrfn Kansas is notorious for that look at the last two years. They lost too UTEP as a # 1 in 92 and Rhode Island in 98.
