if we're going by nurburgring times (aka the standard which all sports cars are held to) then yes the zr1 and the srt10 acr are faster than anything bmw, merc, porsce, audi, ferrari, or lamborghini can put out. Are they better cars to own?- no, not in terms of styling but they are faster, cheaper, and more visceral

bwm philosophy is higher rpm, lower compression more horsepower

merc phiosophy is lower rpm, higher compression more torque

so comparing 4.0 to 4.0 is pointless as they will never design the engine the same way.. there is many ways to build an engine.. you could even call them both stupid and say a 2.0L honda civic twin turbo eats them both.. get it?

The BMW Z4 M is a great car.....What can you get for a similar price that matches its quality in build and performance? The C63 is just crazy... hands down, the best 4 door saloon on the road today. A monster.

sorry the Z4 didn't keep up. To keep up, it would need to be neck to neck with the C63, but according to the video, the C63 is definitely ahead and is showing the Z4 it's backside.

it doesn't matter how much horsepower it has. the definition of keeping up is: maintaining a similar function, in this case, speed. not saying the Z4M is not impressive, but it does not keep up with the C63. With the same thought process as you, I can keep up with the 414 hp BMW M3 with while driving a C350 mercedes with 268 hp because at the beginning it would be "keeping up" with the M3.

the Z4M should not be compared with this car, they are both in totally different classes, of coarse the merc will win. I am all for merc btw.. compare the Z4M with the porsche boxter S and Merc SLK 55. all top end 2 door roadsters. C63 should be compared with the M3,but as top gear and fifth gear showed.. the C63 is a better car. :)
