  • I like trout fishing the most because it's what I grew up with and my dad and grandpa taught me.

  • is it a normal marshmallow

  • hey howard i thout this would never work but i finnaly tried it and caught three rainbow thanks!!!

  • @crispenaprado Glad you found it helpful! And thanks for the feedback.

  • hehe i like the dog :)

  • Should've kept the fish. They're dead anyway. Those hook removers won't stop the bleeding.

Get some lures or a fly rod if you plan to release. Nothing wrong with bait, but you've got to be responsible about it if they're gut-hooked.

  • For anyone interested, the hook remover in the video is a "Shoot Out" by Rainbow Plastics (rainbowplasticsDOTcom). An great tool to keep from harming the trout once you learn how to use it.

  • Howard, I'm a 68 year old beekeeper from MS. My grandson & I left 3am, fished till 6pm then 3 hr drive back. We caught 1 trout, hardly any other hits. Will you be kind enough to tel me where I can take my grandson on little Red or the lake so he can catch just a few at least

    Tim Sr.

  • I like a good Pickerel Rig myself. 2 hooks on one line with the weight at the bottom. Mind you, I have only seen my Grandpa catch 2 fish on one line.

  • i use a 6'6" with 6 lb test and i tried your jig in the beginning and it works wonders

  • how small is the hook, like in leangth

  • so u baisicly just toss it out there, wait, (no pulls no sweaps notin) and then real in one the bite? please respond

  • Rainbows will practically fight til they die..

  • alright alright howard, i admit it worked. I caught my first trout ever 17in in length rainbow. at first i was skeptical but im now a believer lol. thanks for the technique. keep it coming.

  • i like fishing but for some reason i can't catch anything anymore.I live in port hope and when i go fishing I always go to the ganaraska river. Can u help me

  • Check out the river right by Cameco. You may see some people fishing there. Their is rainbows running there right now.

  • what do you consider being the best area's to fish on the little red, for rainbow, and brouwn trout. I am only familar with the lobo landing area a couple miles up and down from there. Seems to be real good fishing bout a half mile upstream from there..

  • are you in between the big island and the first rapids? if so where about?

  • Sounds like you're talking about the right location. We were not too far below Beech Island... just downstream from the Little Red River Trout Dock but above the shoals.

  • i love the little red river, fished it a straight week last winter, wonderful trout fishery. Crankbaits work well also, crawfish, and countdown rapala's ..

  • I love using Rapala Countdown's. I typically use a brown trout #5. We intend to make a "Trout Fishing 201" video at some point soon highlighting the types of lures you mentioned. Thanks for the comments!

  • A star is born!
