  • Many applied, Jemini won.

How bad must the other entries have been?

  • Not only were they totally shite, they are also brother and sister and acting like lovers, yikes! Vile ...

  • SHE HAS NO VOICE

  • WTF

  • We wasted a good song here- even on the official video her voice wasn't great..shame

  • They blamed a technical fault for their poor score, well yes unfortunately for them the microphones were working. lol

  • Karaoke night in the local pub?

  • @Paddekaka karaoke night at batersea dog's home :0

  • I'm wondering why people think this is so horrible They are not more out of tune than the average singer of todays ESC.

  • The fact these 2 creatures got no points has nothing to do with any wars apart from the war that noise has with my ear drums

  • MY EARS HURT!

  • the singers couldn't hear the feedback from the speakers

i blame the backroom staff for not setting up right

  • so bad it's so out of tune but felt sorry for them !!!

  • would of been a crap song even if it was in key..

  • historical!

  • lmao

  • EPIC FAIL!

  • The fact that they got no points had nothing to do with the Iraq War (Spain was in the Coalition of the Willing). It's just an awful song and they are awful performers.

  • baby BYE BYE! Get off now! You can't sing............ My Ears Literally Hurt!!

  • Poor kids had no earpieces-couldn't hear themselves, so they couldn't get pitch. They were really badly let down by whoever organises the Brit entry-her costume wasn't even complete. Actually felt really sorry for them...

  • @Horacechicken exactly

it wasn't their fault, but i also think the war in iraq had a big influence

  • the song isn't so bad at all. but the perfomance... omg...

  • Someone broke the autotune!

  • i still like this song... xD

  • Her singing's not that bad - it's just that she's in the wrong key. Oh dear ...

  • They couldn't hear their backing track through their earpiece monitors because, for reasons best known to themselves, they weren't wearing them for their performance in the contest! It's no wonder we received "Null Points!"

  • Shame, the song is actually good. Their performance is horrible, but I would've expected atleast one point. ):

Does anyone know all the other times that a country has received 0 points?

  • LANATE right now, sirte tous

  • One of the most awful songs and performances in ESC history.

    Maybe eternal bottom.

    It really hurts.

  • @escalopin2

Have you heard Czech Republic in 2007?

THAT'S the worst of Eurovision history..

  • that was really bad, singing was not harmonious

  • WATCH THE FUK IS SHE DOIN ON THE STAGE THE TONE DEATH BITCH Y UK YYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    SO EMBARRASSED

  • this is so dreadful, its a classic.

  • urgh, out of tune!

  • Ouch.. :/.. Meh.

  • How can all of them be out of tune?

  • NIL POIS.

  • OMG! I remember when this was on! I couldnt believe she was wearing these chain things hanging in between her legs! Thats why shes kinda walkin funny! It was hilarious, so glad that "trend" didnt catch on! Ya kinda see it at 0.55... so wrong!

  • when i die this will be played, cos its murder

  • The equipments let them down - microphones were working...

  • Come on there's NO evidence that the 0 points was due to the Irag war - just listen to the singing people!!

  • 5 points for it recorded in the studio, but sorry, i'm from the UK and nul point on the night!

  • poor sods....completely out of tune ...this was due to a problem with the fall back sound failing for their performance.....they could hear very little on the stage...couldnt hear the track or their own voices...tuning/pitching was guesswork for them....poor sods!!!

  • dis is fucking shit! what were they thinking :?

  • It was shit, let's be honest.

  • Sorry guys, as an Aussie who loves many things English there is NO WAY you can defend this performance. The song sounds OK recorded in the studio, but this was pure dross. They lacked the bottle on the night; simple.

  • i know how hard it is to do backing vocals when the main singers in tune and the tracks in the right key, its horrible! they did well! and the backing track doesnt give u any help wht the key!! Bless them, i do feel sorry for them but yeah, shocking

  • Why 'should' Irish people waste money voting for this garbage? ...

Jade Ewen with an amazing vocal and a classic song obviously was enjoyed by the Majority of Irish people as they kindly rewarded the UK 8 points, without which they would have came 6th.. not 5th

And Via televoting, Ireland was the only country to award the UK 10 points, then countries like Greece using tevevoting only gave the UK 8..

Without televotes the UK would have came 10th.. Ireland votes for Songs.. nothing else

  • Nil points!! Awlful

  • no points ha .. cum on ireland

  • What happened to this poor boy and girl? Does anyone of them have a career now? Can they live with the shame?

  • As soon as the results came, their record label dropped them and their first album was never released. Gemma Abbey the lady singer, many reports have said she had a mental breakdown and she sits at home and doesn't come out - for at least six months she had taunts and threats thrown at her - however other sources say now she works in a car show room. The male works in a clothes shop.

  • That's terrible! Sure they didn't blow us away but it's a damn shame that her life was destroyed! It's especially crazy since the UK usually states that they don't care about the contest...

  • Haha! What a shame for her! I remember watching them in an interview immediately after the contest (on BBC Three I think) and she could hardly speak. She was really fighting back the tears.

  • It sounds like a dodgy version of a Steps record. When you think in the seventies we had Lynsey de Paul and Olivia Newton John representing us and then this dross.

  • She was so nervous, bless her.

    x

  • Comment removed

  • ouch

  • it was soooo out of tune

  • not even points from ireland.

    lol.

  • Cum on ireland the stupid english think we should give them points for a song like that . At some points it is the eurovision SONG contest

  • Somebody must've altered the pitch...at the start they sing 2 semitones higher than the original pitch.

  • At 1:30 they start to sing in-tune...

  • MY EARS! I think they just fell off!

  • Cry Baby - Wot they probably were after the show.

Must've been crazy - The ppl in the Uk who voted for them in the national final.

We deserved that nil pwa - however u spell it.

  • To be fair, they actually sang quite well in the national final.

    This was total shit though.

  • oh..my..god! :O

  • and you dare say 'britain gets 0 points for political reasons'???

    you must be deaf+blind,

well deserved last place +0 pnts for this trash

  • The girl can't see, a cheesy song. No wonder we came last.

  • She can't see !

    That would explain everything then.

  • I got why they had ZERO points... WTF?!

  • omg, they are awful singers!

bloody hell, we should have took

it seriously...at least we did well

    this year!

  • or as my friend SIMON COWELL would say "it was okay until you started singing!"

  • I heard this was sabotaged...

  • jeeesus christ......

  • This song was Terrible!

I can't believe we let this song represent our enitre nation. we must look fucking stupid.

  • i felt sorry for these. I remember wen they were picked they were good and it got to this and they just flopped! i actually like the song but they where shockingly bad tht night. Im sure they said it was something to do with the ear peices tht they couldnt hear anything through them.

  • How the hell did this get through quality control. It's SOOOOOOOOOO painful - they actually can't sing - any of them!!

  • It didnt help that we were involved with the Iraq War at the time!

  • agreed

  • Oh Please C'mon, the song is just pure shite, and the singing is miraculously bad!

  • I thought the song was very upbeat and catchy.

I'd also give her twelve points if she was just standing there.

  • the reason its so shit is because the backing track was in a completely diffrebt key to what it should have been. Unfortunately because their not real musicians they clearly refused to sing in tune with it and make the best of a bad situation. and even if they had we'd still have done shite anyway.

  • oh my! that is very very bad! out of tune the whole way through no wonder we got nil points!

  • i just read an article about the 0 point uk performance so thought have a look at the video... am sorry but they couldn't sing at all...

  • Lol this is so much worse than I remembered!

  • @wandrinstar1982 I was thinking exactly the same thing hahaha

  • no wonder they came last o.0

  • it wouldnt suprise me if sum1 sabatoged us that yr.thats wat they said.i mean u gota think...if they were rly that bad they wouldnt have gone thru.

  • errm.... they had to go through because the U.K is part of the big for along with Spain, France and Germany because they contribute financially to Eurovision.

  • they were crap but i think they were better than norway this year what the hell was that about!!??

  • I liked Fairytale =(

Anyway, this got 0 points, whereas Fairytale got 387 (and broke the eurovision points record)

  • two reasons why they got no points:-

    1. They were out of tune,

    2. The UK were involved in the Iraq War.

  • I agree it was because of those two reasons. I think their fate was already sealed because of England's involvement in the Iraq War. Their bad performance gave everyone a reason not to vote for them.

  • and 3. They were shit

  • @everyone06 nothing to do with the fact they were just shit then

  • Lets face it...it was shit

  • hehe

  • poor them that year =/ the only country who had 0 points when the voting was over xD

  • Poor monitor sound? POOR MONITOR SOUND?? She sounds like a fucking cat on fire....he is jumping around like an epileptic on speed

  • Ha ha !!! The funniest comment on here.. fcking brilliant.

  • I'd still slip her one...

  • as long as she didnt start singing during the "performance",i too would give her a portion.

  • Well, if she did start doing the 'drowned cat wail' you could always slap a bag over her head, she's not exactly a "1 bagger" but if she opens her mouth - slap that bag on man ;)

    For those that dont know:

A 1 bagger is a woman you get it on with that is ugly and you dont want to see her face.

A 2 bagger is the ULTIMATE '-10' woman that you have to put a bag on her head and also slap one on yours !

  • As the Polish say - "If she starts talking to much then it's time to 'put something' in her mouth to shut her up".

    Not my words BTW...

  • I feel sorry for them, poor monitor sound can realy effect how you sing. This is dreadful!

  • cmon it wasnt that bad..!

  • wot happend??????

    :$

  • I actually like this bouncy tune - and fair play to them for taking their 0 points in their step!

  • oh dear what a disaster! actually a really good song and two good singers - such a shame the song and the singers didn't go together!

  • unfortunately quite a lot of citizens of the UK voted for these 2 idiots to represent us. god they were bad. if negative points were introduced in Eurovision their score would be like -150 or something...

  • Now this is what gets the UK a bad name in Eurovision. Year before we came 3rd. Song is rubbish and they seriously can't sing for the life of them. How embarresing.

  • I feel sorry for the actual song itself

  • oh my god this is seriouley a nightmare for that poor girl , im a singer and i know for a fact you cannot sing an entire song out of tune without a very odd reason . she is telling the truth when she says she couldnt hear the ear piece . come on guys seriously do you think they would have been selected in the first place if they could not sing .

  • Is it true that their ear-pieces were cut so they couldn't hear the music? Bless, fair play to them for having a go - I couldn't have done better.

  • That is the rumour yes, they claimed they couldn't hear the playback and hence were out of tune.

  • I've seen them sing the song live on other shows and they were much better than this, I doubt they suddenly became shit at Eurovision, so it was obviously an audio problem. Infact the vocals on this do get better near the very end.

  • How could they not hear the song? o.O

It's like the only thing you would hear, isn't it? xD

  • Over the noise of all the people in the stadium they need earpieces which play the song straight into their ears. It's also how they know when to start singing if there's no intro on the music. Gets que's right.

  • She was out of key the whole song!!! That is an effort in terrible!

  • best entry from uk...

  • I STILL love this...and don't care who knows it. J'adore! J'aime. Encore!!! Bravo!!! We love you chris and gemma.

Even though, chris, you are a bastard for not accepting me as your friend on facebook. I've been stalking yoy for years. lol xxx

  • the girl was shit, but the bloke was not bad.

  • One or two notes out of key is one thing. Singing an entire song out of key is another...

  • fun..

  • This tripe is raping my ears.

  • let's be honest...they deserved a big fat 0 points on this performance, Iraq war or no Iraq war (any excuse from Terry)...I watched it with Spanish friends at the time and was embarassed to be British!

  • At the time I was gutted when they started singing but now, looking back, I think it's hilarious! I'm laughing as I watch! They totally deserved the number of points they received.

  • End of a glourious era for the uk at esc........shame

  • they r awful me and my sis (twin) wasnt even born but we can sing so betta then them

  • So you're around 5 or 6 years old?

  • probably, sounds quite mature though... did ur mommy put this up screw 4 life?

  • this was awsome!

  • she look drunk...she seem so dezoriented...

  • She could hear the foldback, that was just an excuse they came up with afterwards when they found out how angry people were

  • THe lad aint to bad, just the women just cannot sing!!!!

  • Worst English eurovision ever!Gemini = Fail!

  • THEY WERE AWFUL::::BUT I STILL LIKE THE SONG.

really shit, really badly sung.....BUT I LOVE IT.

  • People who think she sang in tune must be deaf, the rest of Europe agreed they were awful, even Ireland or Malta didnt give them anything, and they usually give UK something

  • gooooo the UK:)

  • They weren't flat they were sharp.

  • hehe.....

  • oh you are all vocal coaches are u? You are just sheep repeating what everybody else says..

  • I would fuck her

  • who asked u!!

  • grow up...

  • ooooo my head hurts how out of tune can you go

  • It sounds like "they've nearly got there, they haven't quite got it right"

  • my dog sings better

  • Awful. Can't get any worse. Deserved nil points.

  • so out of tune.. im in shock!!!! deserved 26th place..im in shock!

  • amateur karaoke. It got what it deserved but had the country been FYROM it would have finished in the middle of the scoreboard

  • this is really bad. haha. i especially like the dancing! hahahahaha

  • Bloody hell, couldn't they at least sing in the right key?

  • Jesus Christ... Can it get any worse?

  • im saying this because the studio version is annoying also :(,i dont know, maybe the singers should had sung an octave higher...

anyway this song is very strange

  • ok their sing is bad...not awful but bad

but there is something else on this song that kinda scares me....its something on the negative that ruins this song...that bass sound :S

  • omg the worst EVER song for uk.

i dont care what anyone thinks :) x

GO MICHELLE GAYLE. SO SHOULD HAVE SANG FOR UK IN 2008 :) X

  • A disgrace to Eurovision and to the UK. Gemini are absolutely awful singers and deserved to come last.

  • this is abomnible sheeesh no wonder

  • Terrible song, they were totally out of tune. No wonder we lost.

  • At least they were singing instead of lip synching like other ESC artists I'll give them credit for that!

  • You cant lip sync at eurovision

  • They have really beautiful voices, it's obvious there's a problem with the backing track and not them.

  • I think the claim was that the female vocalist couldn't hear her foldback.

  • Even if they had sung in tune, it still smacks of cheap and tacky

  • They were only out of tune because they couldn't hear their backing track properly. BTW, I'm not sticking up for them. I think they sucked too.

  • Check out the studio/video of it. Its not much better.

  • They was an embaressment to the uk they brought shame to the uk actually they was an embaressment to the whole of europe I cant belive they had to represent our contry!

  • painfull an embarassment

    defo our worst ever entry

but hang on we seem to be getting no better since then

no one likes us and the eastern bloc have ruined eurovision the west should leave and go back to the old style contest without the politically biased east

  • this was betetr than last year's scooch.. the jemini female singer didn't perform it well!!!

  • IIRC there was a problem with their earpieces and they couldn't hear the backing track properly, so no wonder they sounded off key

  • Oh my... this is terrible! she cant even sing!

  • you can tell from the unrest in the crowd at the start this wasn't going to be good
