Awesome!!! I watched the Propellerhead one and it didn't help me do any of the fun ridiculous stuff that you're showing. Thanks! To anybody watching this that doesn't have Record you should definitely get it. It is as awesome as it looks and then some. Best money you'll ever spend (assuming you have Reason, instruments and an interface).
anyone know anything about the educational edition of reason 5? (and record for that matter) its much cheaper, and apparently (according to the experts at normans) its exactly the same O.o if it is im definately going to buy it, ima student, but when i checkout on normans they dont even ask if im a student :S
i got the demo of Record 1.5 and when i try and use my keyboard for the voice synth thing on neptune it just says "you need to select preset 10 for DirectLink to work" or something like that. how do i set my keyboard to preset 10? please help
@TheJungleRabbit, it did that on mine ages ago i have a axiom 49 i had to do something like hold + and - button then enter 10 on the keypad on my keyboard something like that then it was fine try google it took me a while to find what i was looking for but got there in the end best of luck
Can you please explain the syntax or connection between Reason & Neptune? Like what are the requirements for using plugins that are not included in the Reason environment?
Please explain?? From what I can tell its a VST which runs from an external program called Record 1.5. Perhaps Dave from BOYINABAND could explain to us how he setup the instruments, please????
@4Torre xD ok you're welcome. It's very confusing, since it also took me some time to understand but with someone explaining it to you in person it's a lot easier
@4Torre you can always change the key you are in in your track. About the minor keys, they're relatives to the major keys. Any minor scale always comes from the sixth note in your major scale, as well as a major scale comes from the b3 in your minor scale. For example, A minor comes from C major, because it's the sixth note: C D E F G >A<; then both scales continue in that order. that means that A minor has the same notes as C major, but starting with A
@4Torre you should know which notes you're using, and according to that you can say in which key you are. For example, you are using G, A, B, C, D, E and F#. You're in G major key. If you just use the tipical C D E F G A B then you are in C major. Hope that made sense and helped you somehow
Guys, it's worth getting Record even if you don't record live audio. The mixer and audio routing is much (much) better than routing everything through multiple 14:2's or what have you.
Record is a propellerhead software, just like Reason.. And they can work together.. Fx, if you have Reason 5 and Record 1,5 on the same com, all the features in Reason are availible in Record.. Record is just like Reason, just bigger, faster and better + the possibility to work with wave´s .
@devilsreject5 I imagine by a mixture of both looking at what notes were there, and then double checking by clicking a few notes, to make sure it sounded right.
