Charmbracelet really was a great album, people just didn't give it a chance because they thought Mariahs career was over. That album is so passionate & wonderful.The critics were just trying to hate on her to say that her voice wasn't good. It was amazing. She just changed her style. She came back on top in 2005 & guess what, shes here to stay. Mariah Carey is a true legend that has touched & helped me in so many ways with her music. If you haven't, give Charmbracelet a chance. Its amazing. =D

Thank you. :) I honestly believe besides the amazing album, her live concerts were a time her voice was in the best of shape. And when you listen to her songs, her range is so flawless, I mean, she's always had amazing range, but she never really used her super head voice so much, until this album. :) I love it.

That is such a great observation about her super head voice. I learned how to use the super head voice off the Charmbraclet album , especially off My Saving Grace and Subtle Invitation

Thanks! You did? That's awesome. The trick with it is, instead of pusing to hit the note you go as light as you can when singing the note.

I learned whistle register from her emotions album, but I've stopped singing in it, and I would have to work my butt of to get it back. Besides, there was a big gap in my range anyway... lol

Usually when a singer has a gap in their range it means that they aren't singing properly (meaning to say not damaging thier chords) because your voice will naturally gain range if you practice correctly, it just takes time. i luv your video , great job!!

The difference is whistle register, is a totally different type of register than the others, so it's kind of different. But I'm not 100% sure it was whistle, it just sounded just like Mariah's.

This may sound bad but I do not like the Charmbracelet album. There was an overdose of the smokey/airy vocals and that killed my vibe. I love Through The Rain, Boy I Need You and Bringing On The Heartbreak but that was about it. Next to the greatness of The Emancipation Of Mimi, this album seems dull. TEOM on the other hand will grace my mp3 player as long as for many years to come. I wonder what the 2008 release will sound like...
