Welll, Kinison does bring up a valid point with the work-out topic. Back in the late 80's early 90's work out programs used to be hot to watch. Girls working out in leotards and tights/bike shorts, unlike today where it is yoga pants >:(
@bugstrut It made him look slimmer. Just like he wore the berets and bandannas because of his thinning hair line. That was a great look for him though. :)
The real tragedy of this is that Richard Simmons is still around while Sam isn't. What a shame, he would've made major bank with the material he would've got from this last decade...
Wow!! Letterman doesn't look at all like the bitter, self-loathing wrinkled jerk-ass he is today. He actually kind of appeared to be slightly funny. He shoots- He Bore's!!!! Sam was great though.
Damn, you forget just how good Sammy was, until you see him in spots like this where he's actually having to step on audience reaction laughs to launch his next joke.
He kept getting so many laughs, that he could afford to literally throw some of them away. Totally awesome!
He was like the Hendrix of comedy - after he left the stage, the people didn't know what hit 'em!
@EdGauthier1 Dude, that comment of yours is incredible. That's the first comment I've seen that captured Kinison in print. Thank you for your almighty prose.
Listen to Kinnisons album. This admitedly isnt his strongest set. Mencia lacks genuine wit and originality. Hes considered lame, bland and watered down. Kinnison and Dice sold out Stadiums like Dane Cook does today. Except they didnt cater to teenage girls.
The teenage mutant ninja turtles lol. "hey" says the 8 year old, "If I can't do martial arts. I can at least eat pizza!" That's why kids are obese!! OOHHHH!!! OHHHH !!!!
Do you remember this? At the time, he was a couple of steps ahead of Dice Clay and funnier. Screaming was his gimmick and it worked for him until he passed away. Free country. What's your claim to fame #87? Tell me when to watch for you on Letterman.
Yeah he would, What a great stand-up comedian and a great great comedy writer! So hard if not imposable to write material just for stand-up and it was like walking to him. He was just starting to get into family entertainment and really start roll-in.
So sad that he was cut short after getting it all back together:(
HE SHOOTS HE SCORES! NOT FUNNY!

@okokdokey Yes, something happened to Letterman after he moved to CBS. I have lots of vids of him on NBC I treasure. I rarely watch the new CBS show.
