  • HE SHOOTS HE SCORES! NOT FUNNY!

  • Welll, Kinison does bring up a valid point with the work-out topic. Back in the late 80's early 90's work out programs used to be hot to watch. Girls working out in leotards and tights/bike shorts, unlike today where it is yoga pants >:(

  • WHAT ABOUT THOES TMNT?

  • HE SHOOTS HE SCORES!!!!!!

  • Sam had great energy here and he looks like he had slimmed down.

  • Why did Sam always wear long jackets/coats?

  • @bugstrut It made him look slimmer. Just like he wore the berets and bandannas because of his thinning hair line. That was a great look for him though. :)

  • Weird, on this day (April 13'th 1990) Green Day released their first album (39/Smooth) Then Green Day would later perform on Letterman

  • @Pasalaqcua who gives a crap

  • Kinison and Carlin and Rodney rule.

  • Coolest Pirate ever.

  • The real tragedy of this is that Richard Simmons is still around while Sam isn't. What a shame, he would've made major bank with the material he would've got from this last decade...

  • Wow!! Letterman doesn't look at all like the bitter, self-loathing wrinkled jerk-ass he is today. He actually kind of appeared to be slightly funny. He shoots- He Bore's!!!! Sam was great though.

  • @okokdokey Yes, something happened to Letterman after he moved to CBS. I have lots of vids of him on NBC I treasure. I rarely watch the new CBS show.

  • He-was-funny.

  • Damn, you forget just how good Sammy was, until you see him in spots like this where he's actually having to step on audience reaction laughs to launch his next joke.

He kept getting so many laughs, that he could afford to literally throw some of them away. Totally awesome!

He was like the Hendrix of comedy - after he left the stage, the people didn't know what hit 'em!

  • @EdGauthier1 Dude, that comment of yours is incredible. That's the first comment I've seen that captured Kinison in print. Thank you for your almighty prose.

  • he's a pirate

  • I miss you Sam, your stuff still teaching me.

  • Kinison rocks. HE SHOOTS HE SCORES

  • man letterman is YOUNG.

  • had a rough night, until now. Thanks for the laugh Sam! This buds for you!

  • kinison really takes command of this show

  • Listen to Kinnisons album. This admitedly isnt his strongest set. Mencia lacks genuine wit and originality. Hes considered lame, bland and watered down. Kinnison and Dice sold out Stadiums like Dane Cook does today. Except they didnt cater to teenage girls.

  • Carlos Menstealia? If that motherfucker ever had an original bit I think I'd faint.

  • There will never be another Sam, fucking hilarious! Long live the legend of Sam Kinison!!!

Hard to believe it's been 17 years since Sam has been gone. Goddamn, almost two decades, I'm feeling old! Eithe way he was the king!!!

  • he SHOOTS he SCORES!!!

  • This guy is freakin' amazing...was...whatever. Dead or not, he's still awesome.

  • What Anne Frank...WE HAVE HER IN THE ATTIC GET HER! Sam still rules!

  • LMAO i am crying here!!! Please tell me we are cloning him... todays comedy SUUUUUUUCKETH the big one.

  • he screams rarley,as is funny all the time

  • Very lovely and very talented indeed.

  • The teenage mutant ninja turtles lol. "hey" says the 8 year old, "If I can't do martial arts. I can at least eat pizza!" That's why kids are obese!! OOHHHH!!! OHHHH !!!!

  • Do you remember this? At the time, he was a couple of steps ahead of Dice Clay and funnier. Screaming was his gimmick and it worked for him until he passed away. Free country. What's your claim to fame #87? Tell me when to watch for you on Letterman.

  • We miss him may he rest in peace

  • Thats hilarious I can actually picture a bunch of hardened criminals rushing home to watch Americas Most Wanted.

  • Classic tv.

  • I love Sam's "family entertainment"

  • Yeah he would, What a great stand-up comedian and a great great comedy writer! So hard if not imposable to write material just for stand-up and it was like walking to him. He was just starting to get into family entertainment and really start roll-in.

So sad that he was cut short after getting it all back together:(

  • if this man was still alive he would be even more funny now! :)

  • sam kinison was the funniest. outragious!

  • He shoots he scores. Kinison was a legend.

  • He was a god.

  • He did this on my 7th Birthday!!!

  • ☺ It was on my 11th Birthday! ☺

  • Wow, it was the day I turned exactly 5 years and 7 months old!... Not really the same, is it?

  • it was 10 days after my 16th birthday

  • i believe i was 18yrs and 13dys old at the time.. not too good at math.

  • still holds up after all these years

  • Love The Guy... H.

  • Sam Kinison and Rodney Dangerfield are the 2 funniest guys ever.
