I know that the A380 will be flying into Montreal and Toronto but haven't heard about Vancouver. You could check with the airport to see if they are A380 compliant that would at least indicate if they intend to cater for the A380 in the future.
ok. Cause when ever I go to family in Vancouver they are right under the flight path of the airlines coming in to vancoucer and those planes are really low
They come in low over houses in Heathrow. If you look at my video showing the first Emirates flight into Heathrow where I am standing immediately to my right is a street of houses called Myrtle Avenue.
I noticed a video on YouTube yesterday of the A380 landing in Vancouver having flown from Sydney Australia non-stop for 14 hours so the airport must be compatible with it.
You never know, the A380 may soon be a regular to the airport in the future.
From what I have managed to find out, Vancouver has two gates for the A380 built during the first phase of a two phase expansion costing over $400 million.
British Airways, Korean Air, Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines are all possible contenders to operate A380 services into Vancouver. These airlines currently fly into Vancouver and all have A380's on order or in their fleet already. Although Singapore Airlines is ending service to Vancouver this month.
This could be because the route capacity has fallen given the current economic crisis.
Emirates have announced that from June 2009 they are removing the A380 from Dubai-JFK service replacing it with a Boeing 777-300ER owing to the fact that the route capacity has fallen as low as 100 passengers a few times.
They are putting the A380 into service on Dubai-Toronto and Dubai-Beijing routes instead.
At time of posting this reply (28/12/2008) there are currently 11 A380's in active service. Qantas = 2 VH-OQA, VH-OQB Emirates = 3 A6-EDA, A6-EDB, A6-EDC Singapore Airlines = 6 9V-SKA, 9V-SKB, 9V-SKC, 9V-SKD, 9V-SKE, 9V-SKF I have personally filmed the following A380's: SIA = 9V-SKA, 9V-SKB x2, 9V-SKD x2, 9V-SKF Emirates = A6-EDA, A6-EDB Correct as of 27/12/2008 I have also filmed F-WWDD which is currently in service with Airbus.
I have just been watching your A380 video's in the playlist on your channel's homepage. You have some fantastic footage. You also seem to have a good knowledge of what's what in the airline industry. Thanks for answering my question!

They apparently cease service on the 25th April.
This could be because the route capacity has fallen given the current economic crisis.

Things will eventually recover though!

I like the way the sun is just a yellow-orange glow behind the clouds as the A380 passes by. Great video.
