okay lets be honest, the only cool part of marching band is drumline. I play sousa and i can say that. people in the winds take shit way too seriously. And the stereotypical person in drumline is a spazz who wants to have fun and thats what i think marching band should be about! having fun :)

@Cyrusspring95 I can promise you this guy takes things way more seriously than anyone in marching band. If your goal is just to have fun, stick to High School pep band. If you want to be as good as this guy, go watch a DCI corp rehearsal. They still enjoy what they do, though it's so much more intense than any marching band.

I don't think that anything the corps do would be feasible without the members loving what they do. I meant that the people in these organizations take playing and performing on a much more serious musical and marching level than marching band because that's what they like. Of course, all I did was prove his statement, taking it too seriously as a wind player that wants to do this.

I really should have wrote not a marching sextet but, 3 marching sextets. Plus, this gentleman probably can and DID write down every note with every dynamic and chart it out so someone else can check it out and try out these moves...that's if you can read music though. You may not want him in your Grindcore Speed Metal band but you know for damn sure Frank Zappa would have hired him because he can read and write charts...

Again...if someone doesn't know the nuance, skill and finesse it takes to pull this off, OBVIOUSLY they are not traditionally trained and do not even know what the word "Rudiments" means. It's all good though...you got a natural feel and like to bash out the 4/4 big beat it's all good. The one post said it all. This is not a drum kit. This is a marching sextet. And if you haven't seen the Concord Blue Devils drum line go at it against the Santa Clara Vanguard drum line, check it out...
