  • what is that first game in the opening? that looks like Donkey Kong but is purple and stuffs.

  • @khoraski Donkey Kong for the Atari 2600, I think.

  • @onpon4 thank you!

  • Thanks fpr the video. This anniversay collection is nice. But as you said it is a direct port of the SNES All Stars (without Super Mario World), These are nice games - but Nintendo had to put more effort into.

  • Can all 4 of these games be played with a regular Wii remote?

  • Super Merio?

  • lol you have a funny way of saying mario

  • I was a bit disappointed that all they have are 4 Mario games which is from SNES port. They could at least put more contents on there like the making of Super Mario Bros., History, plus games like Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, and Mario Kart 64.

  • I'm not trying to be mean, but you need to turn off the fucking music in the video.

  • can't you get all the Mario Games on this WII Game Pack on the Wii Download store?

  • maybe 25 yrs time nintendo may think about HD!

  • Cool! Save me a copy of this! I'll buy it!

    -KT

  • @kibjohn Sorry, sold out the first day. I got a used copy in 2 weeks ago and that sold for $80 in 1 hour.

  • i think they updated super mario bros 1 a bit.

  • where do you get the super mario allstars game?

  • I got it and love it. I never had the original for the SNES. For what you get, I think $30 is an awesome deal. If it was the standard $50, I would pass, but I think this price is reasonable. On a related note, I really hope Nintendo does something big like this for Zelda's 25th aniversary.

  • @chrisrko1982 They did but for gamecube and it had Zelda and Zelda 2 for nes, Zelda link to the past for snes and Zelda Ocarina of Time for N64

  • @anthonywastrinh crap...was it for an aniversary or just some special event? I'll have to check ebay and see what they're going for.

  • they should have done HD sprites like they did with street fighter. Pretty lame.

I mean, the whole point of the SNES version in the first place was that it was a graphical upgrade.

  • LAME direct port!

  • Even the SNES had a version of Mario All Stars with Super Mario World included. Just buy that off ebay unboxed for a few quid.

  • some one kac super mario 1 2 and 3 and made it so you could play it with

new super mario bros ds graphics way nintenod didn't just do that with

super mario bors wii I don't know

  • Whats the music in the background mate????

  • @preydog1 It's my friend's band, Bravo Squad. They let me use their music for my intro and videos.

  • @dommiesan Could you send it me or do they have a website or something??

  • I'm really upset that they didn't include Super Mario World on there.

  • I totally agree with you. If they remade it with Wii graphics that would have been better.

  • It really is one pretty package.. just really, REALLY wish they would have also added Super Mario World... I already own the original on the SNES, but it still would have been nice to have ALL the games in one disk

  • @BrianGamingBadly if people will buy them why wouldn't they rerelease them? Like, I agree with you, but some people seem to be buying them again AND again.

  • @evinoog mostly dumb asians. lol.

  • While it is a direct port of the snes game there's still a few things to consider.

1.)The price of all the games on virtual console is $21.

2.)That's basically $9 MSRP for an awesome art book that has some interesting information and a pretty bulky sound track.

3.)Not everyone grew up with these games and for people wanting a both serious and casual challenge this game is for them.

  • So, when you say it's a direct port, does that mean the brick physics are still weird in SMB/SMB2J?

  • @onpon4 Yes. It is literally the exact same game, down to the SNES boot up Nintendo logo and chime.

  • @onpon4 its really just exactly the same, but with wii controlls, and upgraded graphics and audio

  • man i will pay whatever amount for that how much man HOW MUCH?!?!

  • @playboi182 $28.99

  • @dommiesan AWESOME do you still have any???

  • @playboi182 Currently 3 left in stock. Get 'em while they last. Link in the video description box.

  • @dommiesan Thanks!

  • Nice review Dommie. This does look interesting and it is too bad they didn't include Super Mario World. =(

  • @NEStalgiaholic Thats true, but 30 bucks for 4 awesome games, it's a good buy. I have mine ordered and ready to be shipped to my house. Mario was the reason I fell in love with video games in the first place.

  • they should add super mario world to this collection -.-

  • YES another Dommiesan video! been waiting on one haha

  • comes out sunday for me. I really want it but why did they not put the SNES mario world that sucks but for nintendo fans its a must own IMO

  • I hope the 30th anniverary edition (or whatever will be the next one) will be better...

  • No 8-bit Version? No Super Mario World? That's a joke.

  • No 8-bit Version? No Super Mario World? That's a joke.

  • No 8-bit Version? No Super Mario World? That's a joke.

  • Oh and I forgot to mention. Nintendo's just trolling hard not putting the Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World rom on that disc.

  • I'll probably buy this just because it's going to become a hard game to find in the future like Metroid Prime Trilogy (I regret never picking that up)

My opinion? Completely pissed off at Nintendo. This is a direct spit to the face.

They did not have to keep that shitty game library menu from All Stars and just extracted each remade game individually. We could have EASILY had a new Mario All-Stars, with Mario 1, 2, 3, Lost levels, World, 64, Kart 64, and hell, even Sunshine.

  • I like the fact that even if you're selling it, you're still very honest about your opinion on it. That's ALLOT better then Toyratt... :P

  • @bertinouellet Thanks. I try to be as honest as possible, otherwise my reviews don't mean anything.

  • dommiesan gets to say merry-o again

  • how'd u get it so early??? Mine is the best shipping available on GameStop and isn't available till Monday

  • Im only going to buy this as a collectors item and resell it 5 years time .Sealed Mario games fetch high prices as collectors items once they become rare .

  • Boo Nintendo! They really should have done something better.

  • I have a Wii, I have a SNES, would I buy the Wii version or the SNES??

    THE SNES!!!!

I guess it's being introduced back to the younger generation. That's the great thing about video games! Halo or call of duty will be sold to our great great grand kids :) Stock up on original sealed items, if you want to make some money. Trust me :D

  • for the price, its kinda worth it

  • They should have made an collection with mario, feature mario standard. but also some less famous, and also add some of the first step mario did take into party games.

    E.x

    Mario painting:wii control?

    mario kart snes

    donkey kong????

    mario party 1

  • @zebure Mario Paint with the Wii - I like the idea!

  • @zebure

    mario paint classic controller

  • i recyled case? now thats garbage

  • I thought it was a pretty cool compilation, like you said it was a shame they didn't update the graphics to a level similar to New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but the games are still a blast. The packaging looks a little different to the European version but I think other than that the PAL and US releases are the same. I will be doing a review of this game sometime soon if you're interested.

  • I'd have bought this if it had Super Mario World and a better soundtrack, but not as it is currently.

  • @MrBacchus18

I'm on the fence. My girlfriend has SMB1,2,3 for the NES.

I used to have SMBAS for the SNES.

  • Let's face it, this was the only way they could release Super Mario all stars.

Given that SMAS is basically 4 NES games, they'd been insane to put in on sale as a Virtual Console disc. They could have included the version of SMAS that ALSO had SMW, to give you a little bang for your buck.

  • I think Nintendo failed compeletelly at celebrating Marios 25th birthday.

A wii version of a SNES game and a soundtrack CD and a booklet? Not that epic.

They should have had like a huge party and an epic edition, similiar to the collectors edition of Witcher 2.

  • @Vkmies I agree that this game fell a bit flat. But I have the original SNES game and a system to play it on. But then again, if you're a die-hard Mario fan then you probably have it too.

I would really have liked to see a REAL compilation of Mario games (like all of them) and see them totally enhanced for the Wii, not the SNES. And a REAL book would have been a nice touch, not just a short pamphlet. In short, I would have paid much more for a good package, but this is OK for the price.

  • @dommiesan

    Yeah,. Mario deserved something bigger.

  • @dommiesan

Yeah, perhaps a complilation that included SMB1,2,3, SMW, M64, SMSS, SML1&2 with updated graphics for the Wii.

I would pay $50 for that!

  • @Vkmies Ye i do agre.

Just an though, : they problay was going to uppload super mario allstar on virtual. But they couldt just give it the price of an normal snes vc game. So they did wait until marios 25th birtday. and they made this instead. So that they could get 30bucks.

  • @Vkmies : I know, right? when I got it, I wasn't that impressed except for the cd and booklet.
