  • Kicks for 6?

  • I honestly believe that Jimmie Johnson was already secured himself to be at least the 3rd greatest driver in the history of NASCAR behind Petty and Earnhardt, and if he wins more than 7 (which is completely possible) he may even be considered better because of his consecutive titles AND the period he's driving in.

  • @normalboy64 ok first of all, dont get ahead of yourself. I remember years back when it looked like Jeff Gordon was gonna easily break 7, but he hasn't (so far). 2nd of all, Jimmie has gotten incredibly lucky to win 5. Sure he is a good driver, but he has had an incredible amount of luck which has helped him win the championships. 3rd of all, my guess is that you base greatness off of championships? Well do you think that bill russell is a greater player than michael jordan? + only 54 wins.

  • @NathanRyanAllen You don't get "lucky" 5 years in a row. And secondly, racing isn't an individual sport but it's more individual than basketball. So yes, championships are what I judge greatness by in racing. 54 wins....in about 8 years. He's still incredibly young.

  • @normalboy64 it is not more individual than basketball. Lebron James led one of the worst NBA teams to the best records in the league and the conference championships BY HIMSELF. the team didn't even make the playoffs after he left. So yes basketball is more player than team. WIthout Johnson's amazing team, he wouldn't havbe come close to 5. BTW johnson is 35 yrs old, thats only 4 yrs younger than Gordon, who is pretty old in the sport.

  • @NathanRyanAllen I'm a huge NBA and NASCAR fan, and for you to say NASCAR is less individual than basketball makes me laugh and almost automatically eliminates you from seriousness. You obviously know nothing about basketball if you think it's more individial than racing. 35 years old is incredibly young in NASCAR too, most drivers race til their late 40's. He's still got at least 10 good years left in him.

  • @normalboy64 Dude you are the idiot. Take Jimmie out of the car and put him with a lousy team and see if he could do the same. He owes all of the credit to his wonderful crew and crew chief. And your a dumbass for calling 35 "incredibly young". Incredibly young is drivers like Joey Logano, Trevor Bayne, and Kyle Busch. I know he has years left in him, but he aint incredibly young.

  • @NathanRyanAllen I'm not denying the #48 team is amazing. Jimmie wouldn't have 5 straight titles if it wasn't. But the fact of the matter is he DOES have that team. You can't take credit away from an individual just because they have good personel behind them. At the end of the day, Jimmie Johnson is a 5-time consecutive champion.

  • @normalboy64 Well that much we can agree on haha

  • Anybody that doesn't like Jimmie Johnson can go fuck theirself. He's a stand up dude & wins fair & square. He doesn't talk shit about anybody. All you people that hate on this dude are just jealous because he's got a life & you don't.

  • I've watched this video 50 times im sure :D Love the sport, respect it's champ!

  • the ending i could cry. Ricky Hendrick RIP, Jimmie johnson BEST DRIVER EVER!!!!

  • jimmy is beast idc wat any body says lol

  • jimmy is beast idc wat any body says lol

  • @northenredneckrebel yea i kno wut u mean, there is nobody else that has one five in a row, and that people who dont like jimmie just cant handle it lol #48 FAN 4 LIFE HAHA

  • @northenredneckrebel lol i agree

  • In historical fashion "history obviously doesn't impress many people, but it is worth repeating and Jimmie Johnson has done so in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and no one driver has ever ever ever accomplished such a feat.

  • People always say Jimmie is "the champion" or "The greatest person in nascar history". That's a crock of crap. Jimmie Johnson didn't do it the hard way such as Dale sr. and Richard Petty. Nobody will beat any of them, And even IF Johnson wins 8 times, (more than petty) I think people would prefer Richard or Earnhardt.

  • @VWman100 uk man u can shut tha fuk up cuz he is

  • @jimmy481000 Thanks man. Kiss my ass dickweed.

  • @VWman100 "Jimmie Johnson didn't do it the hard way" I guess means stealing wins by wrecking people, right? Don't care if you dislike the new era or the new champions, but the fact is, today sees competition tighter than its ever been, and the cars are FAR MORE EVENLY MATCHED than they were in the old days, and thats FACT.

  • I can't imagine why this video got one dislike????? It's awesome, saving it and sharing it, Thanks for posting it for true Nascar fans to enjoy, music is great, dang the whole thing is great!

  • great vid!!!!

  • jimmie johnson is my favorite driver and so is jeff gordon

  • I know even with the points system the way it is set up 4 Championships in a row is an excellent feat, but this by no means makes him as good as or better than Dale Earnhardt. That said if ten years from now he wins a few more or finishes in the top 10 in points than maybe people can call him the best that ever raced in Nascar. Never the less Congrats to the 48 team.

  • @brandont28 Jimmie has done something great. I know he isn't Dale, Sr. neither is Jr. They are who they are, and I wish people would just rejoice in the moment for the winner whomever they might be. That being said, I think Jimmie is awesome!

  • @brandont28

"Though old-timers and die-hards hate to hear it, Petty won most of his titles against inferior competition in an era when few drivers ran the full schedule...Six of his seven titles were won in seasons in which only five or six drivers – or less – competed for the championship, and most of them weren’t in the same league as Petty. 3 of his 7 titles were won against James Hylton and Dave Marcis, journeymen drivers who combined to win just 7 races throughout long careers."

  • 4 IN A ROW THE RACE JUST ENDED

  • Great video! Go #48!!!

Today Jimmie got the pole at Homestead and he's on his way to his 4th consecutive championship!!

Way to go to team Hendricks!!!

  • season to remember! well lest see what happens next well hendricks motor sports win more then haulf?? they already did this season? so we may never know

  • Another great and moving video buddy. :)

Without Jeff Gordon and the late Ricky Hendrick, Jimmie may have never got the chance to win back-to-back championships. But he definitely knows who to thank and I like that.

  • @gadgefan48 He didn't forget who got him there for sure!

  • awesome vid as always... seeing tose older nascars always stirs the blood. Do you have any plans to post any older nascar vids?

  • Excellent vid, 5 stars, even more if i could give.
