@MARKLINMAN1 Hi there. I plugged the DI from the Eden WT 800 directly into a Mic input in a Digi MBOX. Then I used iMovie to record the whole thing. iMovie will recognize the MBOX as an audio input on the Mac.

@fishfan67 actually the amp is an Eden WT800, and yes it has a tube pre-amp. This was recorded from the direct out, so the Aguilar cab has no effect here.

Honestly though, the tone is from the bass, the amp doesn't add too much.

sorry so slow replying here:

bass -> EBS multi comp on multi band mode, compression knob up about 1/2

EBS->eden amp, all tone controls flat except a little enhance

the eden amp has a DI out which i plugged into the mic input of a digidesign mbox attached to my Mac.

That's it, no mics, it's all direct.

I used sadowsky stainless steel strings on the bass, which make a big difference.

And the bass/treble boost controls on the bass are up about 1/4.

I've had this bass a year now and play it almost every day with stainless strings. The frets still look like new to me. I have a pretty light touch tho.

Great tone! Are they the Sadowsky humcancelling pickups or the single coils? I ordered an Olympic White ultra vintage jazz with a brazilian rw board and a tortoise guard. Your Dakota Red NYC Jazz looks sweet!!! I play thorugh an Aguilar AG500 head and 2 GS112s. Is that a GS112 cab? The Eden amp is awesome. I was thining about going with an Eden rig but I love my Aguilar setup! I'm selling a gorgeous 2008 NYC vintage jazz with P/Js. It's Sunburst w/ a sweet birdseye maple board.

These are the single coils. I think you're going to love your ultra vintage jazz - all the Sadowsky's seem to be great. My body is Alder btw. You can check my spec on the the "sold" basses on the Sadowsky site - mine is serial #4888.

I have 1 GS112 and 1 Epifani UL210. I like one cab for small venues, and 2 when lots of stage volume is needed. I used to have an Aguilar 4x10, and it was killing my back 8(. Two smaller cabs is the way to go

The body is alder and the pickups are 60s position.

The strings make a big difference on this bass, and this vid is with stainless which really gives it that "marcus" kind of tone which I really like.

Thanks. These are the Sadowsky stainless steels. I'm pretty used to them now, and use them on my other basses. I like FatBeams and DR's though, but they're so expensive. The Sadowsky's are a few $'s cheaper and sound great.
