Did they fix the 2009 Pathfinder? The 2005 had a lot of issues like the defective radiator that leaks coolant into the transmission. Also the fuel sensor in the 2005 was defective that always made the fuel guage read empty.
I asked my mom if she would like this car.. she said yes, but the price was sadly a bit too high. Is this an Diesel? she wants diesel, nissan, a tall 1 (like this 1), not to low, gotta have a 4WD.... like this one... but if there was one like these, but cheaper, any suggestions, please tell me :)
@MyHeartBreake This isn't a Diesel, Hard to find diesels in the US. Nissan may have some incentives, to lower the cost. Might want to check. Then again Nissan makes an Xterra that's almost like the pathfinder, a little smaller, made for off road. But I would recommend a Toyota 4Runner. They have great reliability ratings. And they last forever.
@Zinizzle nooo but, I live in Norway ^^ my mom got a Diesel one atm, but a VW Passat. she isnt really happy with it, only fails on it, its 10 years now, but thats not the point. but like, isnt it like possible to get it in diesel? and can you explain me 1 thing sins you seem to have alot knowing on cars: WHY does the car LINK out its turbo? It works fine normaly, but through this spesical tunel, its not working, it links itself out, dosnt happen in any other tunel. when out of it, it works again
@MyHeartBreake Has to do a lot of the air pressure and elevation. But usually turbo's are placed into vehicles to remedy that power loss in a naturally aspirated engine.
@Zinizzle HUMMM.. so can that thing with that I said it could be all the exose (that thing cars makes) can be the reason why it links itself out? ^^ (if I had right ima be so much like: "I TOLD YOU SO! HAH!!! lalala" if that actualy is the reason sins you say the air pressure, sure the tunel also goes underground XD (like under the water) but I think it is becus it is that much exose in that tunnel.... but the car IS 10 years too so.... its quite old... but thank you ^^
I love this car but reviewer is wrong on calling this a "serious" off-road machine. Its not meant for serious off-roading. Check out other youtube videos to prove this.

@dougsk75 of course it would matter you dumb ass. dont you know simple multiplication and division? If it got 100mpg that means you would fill up about once a month instead of once a week. Cmon remove your stupid comment so people dont think Americans cant do math.
@JohnnyBoyCali LOL I guess comprehension isn't your strong point. Where in my response did I say anything about monthly cost. I only stated what it would cost to fill up a full tank. And mpg wouldn't affect what it would cost to fill up 1 empty tank.
@dougsk75 So I guess stating the obvious is your strong point. What moron wouldnt know what you just said. What are you going to explain next that 1 + 1 = 2.
@JohnnyBoyCali You wrote "17.2 MPG = Over 60 dollars to fill up." I was replying to this statement. Maybe you should make it clear what you are trying to say. You make it sound like MPG affect what it cost to fill up 1 tank.
Have you heard of the NIssan Patrol? That is the bigger Nissan here in Europe, (or UK at least), do you get that in America too or is the Armada its "US version" do you know?
Why you need a bigger engine?, this car doesnt have Diesel options in US, just Gasoline (at least more efficient than the local SUVs). My recommendation is to buy the Pathfinder with the 3.0 Diesel Engine, you wont regret it. My only concern about the Pathfinder is the rear seats (not the 2 extra seats), they are a little unconfortable for adults passengers.
@wtrdogg20 The torque is very close to Jeep's V8, with small disadvantage to the V-8 from Jeep. The consumption is about 0.6 mile per liter more in favor to Nissan's engine. Here in Brazil the price of gasoline is close to diesel, very expensive, and the diesel engine spare parts are very expensive in any brand over here, so I have to check if the Pathfinder is in fact cheaper to maintain. I will keep both cars in mind!

Toyota Prado and Toyota Fortuner are a real crappy cars.....they are no match for the Pathfinder..... This is a very good off road suv...for life!! I need a Pathfinder, but with the 3.0 Turbo Diesel.
Well, Grand Cherokee is a car that I have seen in action off road, it has a good performance, however I'd rather preffer a Jeep Liberty over Grand Cherokee. The problem with American SUV's is the insane displacement and amount of cylinder (Huge V6 and V8), to have something comparable with an Asian SUV in terms of performance, but in terms in fuel efficiency, they cant match Asian SUVs. Grand Cherokee has a good design and interiors, it just need to have a better engine performance.

17.2 MPG = Over 60 dollars to fill up. With modest driving over 300 bucks or so a month.
JohnnyBoyCali 1 year ago
@JohnnyBoyCali It wouldn't matter if it got 100 mpg, it would still cost around $60 to fill up since the tank has a capacity of 21.3 gallons.

This is in America? I thought the Pathfinder was called the Armada in the US?
Metallirocks 2 years ago
The Armada would be the big brother. Much larger than the pathfinder.

@Metallirocks -- Yeah, it's available here... and so is the armada.(the armada is the bigger and more expensive version)

The Armada is a bit larger and gets way worse gas mileage so the pathfinder is only bit different
