@azeriboy92 Of course you can't. A i7 640M is probably the best you can fit into a 13.1 inch laptop (think about it, Sony couldn't even fit one of those quad-core i7's in them, how on earth can they fit a 940 in there). And no 8GB is the absolute extreme, and the 330M graphics card is good enough for the whole Call of Duty series at a good resolution. You're better off waiting for the next generation of the VAIO Z if you want a CPU (Sandy Bridge series) that surpasses the current i7-940.

this notebook is the best laptop in business computing. I mean the option of having 8gb ram, blu-ray drive, core i7, nvidia processor, fingerprint reader, 3g sim connectivity, quad solid state drive and hd resolution, backlight keyboard and on top of that its lightweight and so small which packs up to 14 hours of battery?! This is a masterpiece of development by sony. It is by far the best executive notebook out there. you would be looking to pay £2000 - £4000 though!!

@YukonTrooper depends really. For its 13" kind, it's definitely the best. However for serious gamers, larger models with 15-16 inch screens and faster GPUs are likely better for them. For travellers, smaller models would be better. For a general user, this is definitely a top notch, if not the best pick.

@dat2719 MacBook Pro sure does look nice, but they're specs suck. And plus, they're very expensive, so when new ones come out, you're going to feel outdated. I consider Vaio because they don't break easily, and I mean physically, I'm not so sure about the system. This one is pretty nice I'll say, and it's a beast.. But I'm not getting this so.. I'm getting an iMac, but only because it's for my family, and mom likes the Mac.. I wanted the Sony Vaio F Series to be honest.

Had one for 3 months... I splashed the keyboard and the entire laptop was written off! DO NOT GET IT WET - BOOM! I now buy lenovo which has spuill proof keyboards... far higher speck - sony have lost the plot!

I used to love sony and I've had many of their laptops. But after the SZ series I'd have to think twice about every buying sony again. All my other sony laptops I've been very pleased with but the SZ was a lemon. The Buttons left marks on the monitor bevel after closing. The battery life was horrible. The CD panel fell off by itself and the finish on the LCD backing was textured and impossible to clean.

This laptop is so sexy though it has me considering.........

I have a VAIO SZ too and I can confirm that I also have some of the issues that you mention , also my battery stopped working only after 9 months !

and the keyboard is already peeling off from the body itself

Sony are probably the only brand that can really be trusted for the best laptops. HP, Dell, Mac have faults and negative rumours about them unlike Sony which is just amazing

like what housemd123 said - you can't even hear it most of the time, except when you're doing heavy stuff, and even then It's not stupidly loud - i had a gateway before my vaio, and that sounded like an aircraft taking off :P Also, doesn't get hot - it spews all the hot air out the side really well - my gateway gave me heat rash when I used it too long :D

the point is it's teeny tiny, and weighs nothing. kay, it's not a cake cutter like the macbook air or something, but for it's size it's frankly amazing how much shit they pack into it - like the blue ray disc drive

I've owned a sony vaio and a macbook pro, and the sony was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than the macbook pro. its really sturdy and powerfull and its worth every dollar, I sold my vaio for mac pro (HUGE MISTAKE) but I'm getting the vaio SR or Z again this week.

Vaio Europe - think youve got it wrong marketing as a business model....not offering blue ray, ssd or the higher 2.8ghz processor.

My 2.8ghz, 4gb, 320gb hd, Blueray, 3g WWAN rocks. Shame Europeans are missing out on such a great purchase. Maybe oneday you will have customisation available which allows you to broaden your offering like the US and Japan already does.
