in cinemas all over the world this summer: James Bond-Dust Bowl. the movie is about a group of terrorists, who wanna steal the sheer awesomeness of an epic guitar player. the theme song is THIS!!
You size me up to break me down while you're sipping on your Crown Royal" love that line :))) And love this song!!!! and only 200,00 views!!?? what is wrong with people!!
my metal music is so good, that for example, in neo-classical progressive metal, at 15 notes a second without a single mistake , I almost lose consciousness because it is SO good, that it is better than sex. the most hommo-erectus question as: Does it can get any better than Joe Banana? well, If you took the time to close your TV and Radio, and see that there is 500,000 bands of extreme metal, you would go suicide because you will consider yourself too much innocent
I met Joe Friday in Cleveland, super nice and a phenom with his many guitars this is one of my favorite songs of many that he has made,he is the worlds best guitarist.
who is this fuckin justin guy , ive been playin the blues fir twenty years in the south east whats he doin hireing punk bloggers. to down every one thay can . joe has real talent heres to u joe from gregory b
I find the blatant rip-offs of Justin Bieber in this song disturbing. Bonamassa should either credit Bieber, or come up with his own original material. Just because Joe Bonamassa has the same initials as Justin Bieber doesn't mean he can plagiarize Bieber's music. I hope this issue will be settled in court.
@JustinBieberKicksAss Hey, Justin Bieber is not good in any way,Joe Bonamassa is good in every way, Justin has his music made for him and has his voice altered insanely .Joe Bonamassa has a musical talent of turning the blues into rock. And if you watch hid DVD, you will respect him much more then you do now.
-Joe Bonamassa has been playen guitar since he was 6 or 7, had his first concert at age of 8 or 9, and during that concert he played the same way he is now. Justin B should credit Joe B.
@footbalmvd8 Come on... . It's no secret that Joe idolizes fellow musician Justin Bieber, who's reached unheard of heights at a young age. At a time when we thought good rock music might be a thing of the past, along comes Bieber, & influences a new generation of players like Joe Bonamassa. I'm just saying give credit where credit is due.
@JustinBieberKicksAss Um...to bad that Justin's type of music is way off from Joe's. And Justin is much worst...I'll give all the credit to the song to Joe Bonamassa and his fellow workers.
@JustinBieberKicksAss I love , you, my friend. It takes lot of guts to post satire this subtle on a song with such a devoted fan base. YOu have a future in the world of comedy, in all seriousness.
Amen, jinma2. Recording Companies & Commercial Radio in my opinion have their own marketing agenda and Artists with this calabor seem to miss being played on Commercial radio and are only heard on Community Radio and other mediums which leaves me scratching my head, woundering why they cant see the loss of revenue they miss out on with real music people would prefer listening to, instead of stuff written that sounds like its advertising ice-cream.
Just ordered the cd and got the download. AMAZING Check out Joe's website too. Lots of great dvds and stuff on there. Thanks for the music Joe. LOVE IT :)
O-M-G!!! I just played along with this song on my Roland TD20SX and, may I repeat myself, but O-M-G, this song is way beyond AWESOME! Love, love, love it! "Joe you rock dude!" You can quote us on that! Bad Kitty & Lil' Eddie
I stumbled across Joe Bonamassa - The Ballad of John Henry on Jukesy when I was listening to some Rory Gallagher. Where the hell has this been? Thank you Joe, you should come to play in St. John's, Newfoundland at the Wreckhouse Jazz, Blues and World Music Festival in July 2012!
Some of the best work done in the current mess called the music industry. He has once again surpassed anything you could possible expect from this master. He truly puts the meaning back into blues rock. The son I never had!
The attitude of this song is incredible. I bought the album today and i cannot get past this track. The bass is hypnotic, the rotary guitar out of this world, the lyrics....just cannot say enough how this song has hooked me. The first verse is just badass!
One word: Awesome! I finally found someone to help me get over the tragic loss of Stevie Ray Vaughan! Also give Black Country Communion a listen (almost called "Let's Zep Again"!) Glenn Hughes (Trapeze, Deep Purple), Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham, and Derek Shirinian (Dream Theater, Billy Idol's Band) Super Group...Joe is playing the original 1968 Les Paul that belonged to the late Mel Galley (Trapeze).
As someone who has only recently decided to learn to play, I must say I been blown away by Joe's music. It inspires me to pratice harder! LOL. Thanks!
I heard this song on a college station today. They always play great music but I just had to memorize the lyrics so I could google it when I got home. So great. I wish he was comin to Los Angeles.
great song, joe is striving not to be over produced, but I have to say that i think this song is quite over produced and over layered. would have been much better with like 5 tracks and no vocal effects. still a good song though
The last time I saw you was at the wharf in Tavistock U.K where I bought 3 CDs which you kindly signed for me, looking forward to seeing you in the Pavillions in Plymouh U.K in september Bless you Joe you have had a lifetime of rehearsal and it is paying off big time
Saw JB @ The Taft last week...OMFG!!!! His talent is like none other...the energy he puts off is out standing, his riffs are top notch and talk about a show...holy moly Joe, I'm in love...Peace my brother, Peace!!~!
I saw him last week and it was the BEST THING EVER!!! i heard 3 new songs and dust bowl is probably my new fav jbonamassa song and the 2 others were pretty good but not very remeberable of songs but love this song. cant wait till tuesday for the new album!!!
After 3 hrs of constant listening to this track and I cannot wait to get my promo copy in hand. I am blown away...again! As for copying Eric Johnson, as long as he doesn't release a version of Cliffs Of Dover or SRV we will be just fine. There are worse things than venturing into another elite artists territory once in awhile.
Joe continues to evolve with each release. I was blown away with his earlier stuff and continue to be. He has improved the vocal quality and seems to have found a bigger sound if that was even possible. I simply hope he maintains his own identity and does not start blurring the lines between Joe Bonamassa & BCC (Which I enjoy, however, not quite enough JOE and too much Deep Purple sound).
@MrCloudancer Hope it's better than the last 1 anyway, Black Rock wasn't bad, it just wasnt the standard of sloe gin and ballad of john henry, but this track makes some tracks off those albums seem inferior
this song borrows elements from "sting - love is stronger than justice" !!!!! hopefully sting won't recognize.... but be careful.
