Concussions (Washington University in St. Louis)

i wanna go to college at WashU :D #3 physical therapy school in the nation. still got a year before i have to apply. i hope i get in!!!

I wanna know what kind of effects that might occur if a concussion isn't treated. How serious is it if someone falls and hit their head, blacks out for a few seconds and then vomit only to carry on their day normally later on. The next day they complain about headache but feels like their fine?

So what happened? Every injury is different. After having a few as a kid and then as a teen, all I can tell you is now I can't remember things. I "see" things differently. But *coughs* it could be cause I'm an ex-drug addict. Are you getting headaches?

Does it take you longer to focus? Any imbalance at all? Take care. If you can- get a cat-scan. I know that may be impossible but it's a way to know for sure if you have any brain damage.

@ubiquim It was a friend, and it seems to be fine now but I dunno the person is impossible to get to the doctor anyway.

@FlashySenap *sigh* exactly; your friend needs a referral a script' from their doctor for a CT. But this can be performed on an outpatient basis.

I'd be sure to go if your friend is having "Auras", these are noticeable with severe migraine episodes, hopefully they're not. having them.

I'm just telling you what has happened to me. I haven't had one for years. These things were spread out over along time.

no your not go to the doctor.. for treatment u can lose your personality... depending which part of the brain was affected
