@storchnuts i never owned a gamo product before, i was going to buy the Gamo varmint hunter hp but the manager at dicks turned me away from it because he said it wasnt a good brand. he showed me a different gun which was cheaper so it not like he was trying to scam me. Im just going by other peoples reviews on the internet so dont hate on me. And i can shoot.
You forgot to mention the other problems, they have horrible accuracy, horrible scopes, horrible pellets, horrible scope mounts. Gamo is not a good company for air guns. If you buy a better scope and heavier pellets it might help with the accuracy. Im getting a benjamin Trail NP XL 1100 .22 which from every single review is said to be thousands of times better than gamo products. And they are the same price. But you also need to switch triggers to the Gtr III.
@ILaxWithaPro7 ill tell the thousand or so rabbits my kids have killed on our farm must have been all lucky shots or you talk with you finger up your ass I think its the latter having been a professional deer culler for 20 years in comparison a tuned Gamo cfx will group as well as my Remington BDL in 22,250 at 30 yards and thats not to be snorted at from a air rifle why my kids are successful is the simple fact they where taught from the age of 6 one shot one kill IN other words they can shoot
this trigger makes one thing come to mind ! Orgasm....going from the crossman trigger to this ! this is amazing ...thanks to the maker of the video also !
I followed these steps with the BENJAMIN TRAIL NP .22 !
hello can you take the trigger apart and assamble back together i have a problem with the two springs in side dont know whao put them back in show me whao please dud
lately GAMO changed his trigger to a other tipe, its made out of plastic in it cannot be upgradet by charlys GRT III. Simple remove the stock and check out with the picturers in my slide show.
For the price, its simply the best upgrade you can do on many air rifles. I just did this on a Benjamin Trail. It literally took five minutes to do. Thanks for making such a helpful video.
i just bought the Gamo Rocket. it has a platstic trigger. Does this gtr III triggger upgrade work? i saw on a website saying it will not work or something.
I just received my GTR-3 trigger a few days ago and am not terribly impressed. It acts like a, nothing special single stage trigger. There are no good trouble shooting links on the page and no good description of what each stage does to understand how it needs to be adjusted. The blade of the trigger is, in my opinion, too short and results in my finger rubbing the stock when I pull the trigger. So far not worth the money or the trouble.
@angryfishmonger Follow-up to my last post; I was able to reduce shot groups by about a third at 30 yards. They are consistently under two inches. I discovered either new or missed information on adjusting each of the stages of the trigger on Charlies site and now have a good understanding of what is going on. I went in and made sure the trigger blade no longer contacts the housing and it is much smother. I will follow up with some shooting tomorrow. As is the trigger is very much worth it.
@kriegmeister3000 Yes, and it has a very light pull and clean break, but I do not have a two stage feel, just one light stage. I love two stage so that I can better know when it will break. But it does shoot much better with Chariles trigger. Last time out had several pellets on top of each other a 20yds. I have a leepers 3x9 AO mil-dot and it holds zero much better than the original scope.
what difference does it make once u change the trigger? i have a brand new gamo shadow sport and i wanna change the trigger but i dont kno what dfference it will make in the shooting. plz let me know. and how much does a trigger like this usually cost?
i was putting mine in and a cylinder peice came out and idk wheree it came from, i tytened the screw too much and now i cant take the body back out, please someone help me
@portuguepimp080 don't you hate that! I'm sorry I cant help because I dont know about this gun but that happened to me with one I had since I was seven and I just got it fixed last year
Gamo isn't alone when it comes to a crappy trigger Crosman is right along with them . I have a Storm XT and that trigger is harendous, It is like playing time bomb, you never know when it's going to shoot. lately I'm looking to replace the trigger with one of these bad boys.
Yeh my storm xt is suppose to have an adjustable second stage. I can turn that fucking screw till i'm blue in the face. I don't feel any change at all. My 1377c has a better trigger. I would't want to swap out the trigger if I could, becaus there is nothing wrong with my 1377c
So how are you having fun yet? Does your gun shoot like a different gun? My gun shoots like a dream now that I put the Charlie Trigger in I can say goodbye to that cheap trigger that Crosman put in. I talked to a Crosman tech and told him just what I thought of the trigger that comes with the gun. I also told him about the GRTII trigger. ( which he knew nothing about )
Get the GRTIII trigger you won't regret it. What makes it easier is you take out a spring and both stages are FULLY ADJUSTABLE not like the crosman manual says. Oh buy the way I had just called Crosman's tech support and the guy on the phone didn't even know what a GRTII trigger was. HUMM?? crosman is putting a look a like in the new phantom rifle ?????
Thanks for the video, trigger installed succesfully! But can you tell me what those two screws are? What that hex-screw does? I didn't have any manual with the trigger..
the hex srew is for the 1st stage but on the instructions they say you probably dont have to adjust it the slotted screw is your 2nd stage ajusting screw. MOVE IT A LITTLE AT A TIME . BOTH SCREWS COME ADJUSTED FOR MOST SHOOTERS
eh, too bad they don't sell these anymore in the US. :( it looks badass. but we do have the Gamo Whisper CSI :P but it's not got the power of a .25 under its belt :(
Great trigger! I fitted one to my SMK Z19 and it realy has changed the gun for the better. Super smooth pull weight and fully adjustable 2 stage settings.
Hello Steve, thank you for your comment. Yes the Charlie da Tuna Triggers are realy worth buying. Had a look on your SMK Z19- looks nice for a reasonable price.
I guess its because of the shape and the length of the trigger blade you change (the golden one). Its simple works- the trigger gets down to 1/3 of the pull weight and it is much more smoother. I wounder why GAMO is not adapt this idea to improve his trigger.
yeah the all the gamo guns are known for their bad triggers but if they adapted something like this one all their guns would be much better and get higher reviews
very helpful, thank you very much
