  • Is that an sp101? Couldn't tell.

  • @Mr13born79 Smith and wesson model 60.

  • dude, that shirt you are wearing is awesome. where did you get that piece of awesomeness vagina-magnet?

  • Can U show both rounds side by side ?

  • i would like to know if the shells stay in the mag when you fire a revolver

  • @desperadoguitare i believe they do,

  • @desperadoguitare (and the gun nazi's will say "its called a cylindar not a mag") but those guys are just tight asses

  • @desperadoguitare Yeah the spent casings stay inside the cylinder

  • @desperadoguitare u havent had much experience with guns have you

  • Nice video. I'm deciding between the Model 60 2.125" and Model 60 3" barrel. Haven't shot a J-frame revolver and was curious if you knew the difference in accuracy. Thanks

  • @fuzzypandas89 Good question, but to be honest the accuracy difference is going to be minimal if any at all. The main difference is that the model 60 with the 3" has better sights, which are also better for snagging if you are thinking about carrying this weapon concealed. I love my snub nose, and with practice it's more than accurate.

  • @CelticRoad Ok great. And yes I am planning on using it to carry concealed. My M9A1 is just too bulky to be honest. I'm going with the 2.125". Thanks for the help!

  • @CelticRoad I agree, the adjustable sights on the 3 inch barrel version are more easily detectable to the eye and therefore easier to become accurate with. However, if you can become accurate with a snub nose, you can be accurate with anything lol.

  • This video is so helpful, and informative. You picked a really nice & CLEAR way to show the differences between .38 & .357. It's people like you that have made Youtube a place to learn. Thanks! Thumbs up!

  • what kind of gun takes two diff rounds? this is new too me

  • @jayharo44 This is a .357 magnum. All .357 magnums can also shoot .38 specials since the diameter of the bullet is the same, only difference is the length of the casing and the amount or strength of the powder.

  • Comment removed

  • Actually, the .357 is .357. The .38 special is .356 which is no big deal! Ruger makes a revolver that fires .357, .38 special, and 9mm luger(355 which is also not that big of a differance) no problems! great video!

  • @isamtator Which Ruger model fires all three types?

  • @SeaboardCoastLineRR, Ruger Black hawk .357 magnum, it come with a Second cylinder that chamber's 9mm Luger. It's around 450 some parts 500 new used you can get them for around 350, or so!

  • @isamtator Thanks!

  • @SeaboardCoastLineRR, You welcome, I was dumbfounded when I first got mine, I was blown away when I saw it And I had to get!

  • @jayharo44 .357 guns have always been capable of firing .38s as well.

  • amazing thanks for the vid

  • Hi, what holster model do you carry for the model .60 S&W?

  • @Wildehilde71 Hey, I have a Galco out side the waistband holster that I wear when I'm hiking through the woods. You can find it on their website. It has a thumb retention strap, and it's about $80 I think.

  • that short barrel pistol is less accurate and doesnt have the same power as the longer barrel

  • The .357 is chambered in a Taurus 605 2in barrel

  • Would you say a .357 has more recoil than a .45?

  • @TheGhostSaint Good question, but sort of difficult to answer. the .357 in this particular firearm has much more recoil than my 1911 in .45, However if I was shooting a full size revolver that weighed the same as my .45 I think that it would be similar. recoil has a lot to do with weight of the firearm, and length of the barrel, also grip control. So it depends on a lot...hope that helps!

  • why does .357 have more recoil ?

  • @1xura Well, a .357 Magnum has a longer cartridge than a .38 to accommodate for more gun powder, or a hotter burning gun powder. a .357 round has a much higher velocity, hence the name "Magnum". Since the goal is higher velocity, and there is more powder pushing the bullet, then there is a bit more recoil.

  • Cool

  • wow that thing is quiet, is that because of it having such a short barrel? Does is classify as a snub nose?

  • @4x4American Shorter barrels would make it louder.

  • @4x4American It has a lot to do with the camera. No way in hell it is quiet, especially the Magnum! :P

  • What revolver is that?

  • @EverythingisFire S&W model 60

  • very nice last event of the 38spc with 357.

    Thank you.

    from japan.

  • @zoom898989 You have a good connection under water?

  • @HiCapacity that was good but it was terrible

  • Hey thanks for putting this video up. I sold my 38 a few years back. I miss having a revolver. I was thinking of buying a 357. I want an airlite snub nose to conceal but I think a 357 might be too much kick if I ever need to protect myself. Not sure if I should spend the extra bucks for the 357 since the revolver can shoot both rounds or just stick to 38.

  • I have a SW 649, the stainless J and Ivew fired 357s out of it. The same problem of loss of control and how the gun flips out of the support hand happens to me as well - not helpful at all except for beating the crap out of your gun and your hand. I'll stick with .38 Specials and P+ rounds.

  • Great Video, you can really seen the difference between the two loads.

  • Great Video this definitely helped me make my decision for 38 cheers

  • @TheWxr Hey thanks, I'm glad it helped!

  • NICE VIDEO...You can really see the recoil difference between the two cartridges
