Never get tired of listening to this message Paul - until it sinks in and these horses are free from exploitation and death ........ we will stand beside those fighting to save the lives of America's PRECIOUS wild horses !
The calico horses are being rounded up and made to stay the rest of their lives in holding pens:the land is being leased/sold to ranchers for cattle and the govt:has sanctioned this obscenity.I remember first hearing about the round-ups and was shocked and disgusted that animals which have roamed land for centuries are being deprived of that freedom:due to the greed of man. Thanks for being the voice of those who cannot speak.
In 1971, Congress passed the Wild Free-Roaming Horse and Burro Act to protect America's mustangs.
Call President Obama and demand that he enforce federal law and the will of the American people and stop the violent round-ups of our wild horses, who should otherwise be managed on the range in a humane and minimally-intrusive manner that preserves their wild and free-roaming behaviors.
White House Message Comment Line: 202 456 1111: Stop the round-ups and manage the mustangs on the range.
Thank YOU, Paul, for speaking out against the violent and illegal round-ups of America's wild free-roaming horses and burros from taxpayer-funded PUBLIC lands by the U.S. Government.
Welfare ranchers who graze 9 million head of livestock on PUBLIC lands for a mere $1.35 per cow do not get to dictate government policy on how these iconic animals of the west are managed!
Well said Paul! Yes, the whole world is mortified by these annual round ups. Thank you for speaking from your heart and expressing what most of us feel. Hopefully, the message will get through! I am sharing this right now!
In Benton Arkansas this weekend...( 3-27-10) they were adopting out these beautiful mustangs. And the price to adopt one of these gourgous horses....$ 25.00...they do this on a yearly basis if I remember right.
Oops again--something is confused...I am not BarnDoorStudio (but I know how YouTube thought I was!)...I am NancyBinCA--and the previous 3 posts listed as from BarnDoorStudio were really from me--sorry for the confusion. (At least my friend who IS BasrnDoorStudio) woud agree with what I wrote!)...and I am still nancybabcock on Twitter--see you all there! :-))
Oops! Now I see I've posted 2 nearly identical comments--still jet lagged from getting home to CA at 3:00 a.m. last night from the DC rally....little sleep in the past 3 days and it's showing! (But all for the cause of saving the wild horses and burros--can't forget the poor little burros too!)
Thank you, Paul! I was in DC where we felt your most welcome support--the world's knowing about the BLM atrocities and abuses of power will help bring them down. Found this video through Twitter--a great way to keep in touch. Please connect with me there where I am nancybabcock--go to the hashtag (#) wildhorses or wildhorse to find many others of us. together we can accomplish great things--thank you again, Paul!
nice one paul lets hope they were listening and something is done.. if everyone in america who has ever sat on a horse voted to end the round ups it would be no contest job done .... nigel
Thank you, Paul! Just found this video via Twitter, which is where I learned about the London protest as well--hoping to see photos or videos of that too. I was in DC and we felt your support from across the Atlantic. The more the world knows of the atrocities being committed by the BLM, the sooner they will be reined in--and you're right, We have to keep the pressure on him and on Congress. Thank you, again for all of your efforts. Please connect with me on Twitter where I am nancybabcock.
Well done Paul!! You're exactly right, it's not my America either. My America is compassionate and respectful, my America stands up for injustice and goes the extra mile, when needed, to be the voice for those with no voice. My American's will not give up the fight for our Mustangs. Thank you Paul and fellow British protestors for your solidarity! It helps immensely to move us forward, here across the pond.
Obama was my Illinois State Senator and i have many, many letters here at home where he "Promised" to help end horse slaughter in the US and to protect our mustangs.
I am disappointed that he has not followed through with his promises. The mustangs are continuing to be rounded up and the death tolls are staggering. He promised us "change" and we need change NOW!
xoxo to all in the the UK for raising their voices to the plight of our American mustangs!
Thank you, Paul, for showing that this travesty is recognized around the world. It's not just a dirty little secret - this extermination effort is seen for the brutality it is. President Obama needs to speak, he's been asked countless times. Much appreciation to all world citizens for helping to save our American treasures, the wild horses. They need every voice they can get.
Paul...Thank you so much..I was at the LA March yesterday. I believe we helped thousands of people at least be aware of what is going on. We need more mainstream media coverage...most people still do not understand how many thousands of horses will ultimately die from these round-ups. The BLM must be monitored, as these animals will eventually be auctioned of to "kill buyers" and slaughtered in Mexico. Spread the word.
Great ! I was at the Washington Rally and it was great to know London was with us, LosAngeles was with us, LasVegas did a postcard signing campaign on the mall. united we stand. I 'm on twitter as MyFlyingCloud -let's share photos etc of all the rallies and keep spreading the word.
@MyFlyingCloud Thank you, we found you on twitter and will keep in touch, we all need to speak out against the terrible waste of life happening now to the Mustangs and Burros, this holocaust must be stopped, these animals need a voice world wide, best wishes from here, Maria & Paul xx
Thank you so very much for your candid and peaceful approach to peaceful activism calling upon those with worldly powers to say something, anything about this tragic state of affairs.
Your words and emotions resonate on many levels. This is just one of many issues we should all be concerned about.
You're in England, we're from Canada, and the entire world resonates your sentiments. Now only if others could pick up the vibe and relay it to those that need to listen and act.
100 years ago we had no oil and horses 100 years from now we will have no oil or horses.
