(part 1) The Quran doesn't say that he was the last messenger, it says he was the last prophet. No'. Muhammad was not the last messenger.
Firstly, the difference between a prophet and a messenger is that a prophet brings a new revelation, while a messenger rehearses previous scripture and
refines/purifies the religion. Though all prophets are also messengers, since they rehearse the law that came down to them, all messengers are not prophets.

Thus it’s exactly opposite to what you said. This also confirms that there would be a messenger after Muahmmad who would be able to prove the Quran was from God. Rashad Khalifa is the one who brought that proof.
