A much easier method todo this, is to use Putty from your PC to execute the a.out file. This is much easier because it doesn't involve putting your device in RD mode and such.
yeah i know it is not a.out.gz.... 1st i tried a.out it said not found then i thought that if the file has changed the name to a.out.gz then probably the command shud also change.... and when i typed a.out.gz it said syntax error unexpected.... u have done this much for me thanks for all that man i really appreciate it..... and yes i have reflashed but not because of lock code...

well im preety sure i have put a.out in the right place coz if it wasnt then it would probably say file not found or something like that instead it says syntax error unexpected which means there is some problem... let me tell u something i havnt put any lock on the fone before...and im having the same problem before and after the reflash it doesnt accept default code 12345.... could u please somehow find my lockcode.... i have the imei everything if u need... please....
hey there.... this tym there is another problem.... my pc was connected to my n900.... i copied a.out to that bin folder... but when i copied it, the name changed to a.out.gz strange isnt it.... anyway i changed the properties checked all the Xs... then back to n900 in the xterminal i typed (sudo gainroot 1st ofcourse) run-standalone.sh a.out.gz it said
/usr/bin/a.out.gz: line 1: syntax error: ")" unexpected
and when i typed a.out it said
/usr/bin/run-standalone.sh: line 11: a.out: not found
plz help me... i did everything in this video but winscp couldnt connect to my device...it says connection to server timed out.... and then nothing plz tell me wat is the problem...
P.S im connected to both the pc and mobile with the same wifi router.... if thats ok....
@thewildflower pretty much it. i was in the same spot as u are, i researched a lot and got the same conclusion. there's no way to access ur phone unless hard reset it. then u come back and watch the vid since it tells u wat to do next.
@chillaxftw hi can you please let me know how to reset you n900 on the factory default so that i can dot it i am unable to download the files when i updates the latest maemo the application which where in download all are erased and i am unable to have it back on my cell phone can you please let me know about all this and how to do it please please
@thewildflower if u can't get into the main menu, flash ur phone a.k.a hard reset it.Search on the google "how to flash n900" and there will be many tutorials about it. I will maybe do a vid about it.
can i do it with my nokia 6500 classic too?

THANK YOU!!!!! It fixed my broken lock code. I had never changed it and it wouldnt accept the default but finally I now have this working!!!!!
