So can you slip on a knee brace over this tape and and make it even more stable and be allowed to fight like this? What kind of athletic tape is that, stretchy elastic stuff? I have bad knees and this looks really great to me.
VMO is difficult to train because often the brain has poor awareness of how to isolate the muscle from vastus lateralis (which will be misaligning your knee cap). There is lots of exercises online, one good one is lean against a wall with a pillow between your thighs and do half squats. The pillow gives the brain greater sensory input from VMO but it takes lots of concentration to try and dissociate and retrain this muscle. Your hip/foot biomechanics need to be assessed, often a primary cause.
