  • IKMA > IKMF

    IMHO

  • p10 does not exist in kmg. yes krav maga may not beat a sporting style at their rules but we must remember that krav maga is not for sport but for survival. if you put a sport fighter into a reality situation against numerous attackers armed chances are he will get off a couple of strikes but the encounter may not end in his favor. think about it.

  • @ravimadman P10 does exist, I know because I did it along with my brother who went 1 above and became a Krav Tactical trainer. You need to forget about hypothetical's and Krav vs this or that because it's completely pointless in real life, at the end of the day it will always come down to the person, I have trained with hundreds of people in many fight styles, Some people are naturally gifted some will never be good and if you put a gifted vs a useless fighter style becomes pointless

  • @ANTICARBONTAX I am a G1 (graduate level) tested under Eyal Yanilov and under KMG there is NO P10 to my knowledge. it goes from P! to P5 and then G1 to G5 and then the Expert levels. I do agree with your other points my friend.

  • KravMaga is effective! The street is different to a cage! Take fingers in areshole of opponent / fish hooking / advanced scrotum twisting techniques / eye gouging / punches to throat / fingers up nose / biting / spitting, etc - all 'legal' in a street fight but all illegal in a MMA fight. Say technique against grappler - ram your thumb up there arsehole then with fingers of same hand use Dragons Claw to buttock cheek so they cannot pull away from you, nobody can take that & keep fighting!

  • I can't see anyone actually biting, eye gouging or kick the genitals - how will these things work in a real encounter if you're not training them. appreciate the response

  • Eyal Ilinov this message is for you, you should be ashamed of what you do and how you publish your shame. You are a disgrace to the Israeli Krav Maga, and what it offers inside. You get people naive to think that what you do fits into the street, it looks more like a dance than self-defense

  • @zivbracha123 Eyal Yanilov is a great man and and as Imi"s top and highest rank student no one should have anything bad to say against him. If you wana say something bad talk about those who turned their back on Krav Maga and disgraced this great system

  • @ravimadman I hope we can now realise that there are actually different types of Krav Maga with different grading systems which as a P10 I really didn't even realise until my brother explained it to me, as you did I assumed my system was the only system as well. Take care and keep up the great training.

  • Eyal is a great guy. And an Excellent instructor. I've actually had the chance to train with him. I got to talk to him one on one away from the class. He gave me some great Israeli style awareness tips. (Know where the exits are at. What you can use as a weapon. Being aware of what people are doing.) ETC.

  • Is there a better way to defend against a stick/baseball bat rather than trying to block with your arms, and possibly breaking the bone? Wouldn't it be wiser to deflect the attack rather than trying to absorb it?

  • @21fretsalute

You miss an important detail in the technique. The bat is not blocked, it is deflected and will not cause serious damage to the deflecting arm. When we train it in KM the attacker attacks with intent, power and real weapon and we feel if the defense is not effective. Come and give Krav Maga a try. It is fun and really efficient.

  • @21fretsalute With a horizontal baseball-style attach such as this and at this distance, there is limited possibility to deflect (as we do in KM with e.g. a vertical stick attack). If you look closer you will note that Eyal steps very close to the attacker and blocks near (on either side of) the hands where there is little inertia in the attack. He also attacks very early, not at the end of the attack where the speed and power is high. Come try Krav Maga, it is truly efficient and fun too.

  • @weidemannjoen You forgot one thing. OW SO STRESS RELIEVING ^_^

  • @21fretsalute Basically by stopping it early with the meat of the forearm like that. There will be very little strength in the swing. Plus the attacker will more then likely be taken back by you going right at his source of strength. Now if your late doing the technique it could definitely hurt. As in any self defense system. Do it 100 percent or don't do it at all ^_^

  • @ShellySummers Yeah I imagine if you're late with the technique, you'll have greater problems than pain. The problem is you'd really have to anticipate it to react in time as the time it takes for your nervous system to perceive and respond will already delay you somewhat.

  • @21fretsalute The problem with any teaching is. If it is late, doesn't matter how simple or how difficult. You will be behind. Although with a bat. There is usually wind up. Seen a vid on here by a policeman where you more or less catch the forearms between yours in a scissor motion. Or you can back up just out of range. Let the swing go by and burst in. Pinning his arms to his body. The three major ones i know for a bat situation.

  • @hmichaelt he is the cheif instructor of the international krav maga federation, so he's prob around a 6th degree black belt in krav maga, i think that's legit lol

  • doesnt it hurt at 6:50 when you use your arm?

  • @Maarty7658 Not as much as using your face.

  • @yuppyguitar1

    yeh... thats right.

    thanks!

  • I have Trained Eyal Yanilov, he is very wise and extremely skilled. I think he is Master level 3 and expert level 6, correct me if i am wrong

  • Hi there, nice vid, can you please tell me which video is this one???, thanks a lot

  • Hi there, nice vid, can youn please tell me whcich video is this one???, thanks a lot

  • Generally any practitioner of any "system" or method that does not limit itself to a sport, rules, dojo etiquette, etc, will prevail in a sudden violence confrontation, provided he strikes hard, fast and best of all, first. To say KM is superior to ABC or acme do will always beat whatever is ignoring so many variables, it is in essence a bullshit statement. In these videos, Mr. Yanilov shows knowledge, quickness and the right amount of aggression to prevail in a confrontation. Good work.

  • Thanks for your answers it s been very helpful. I ve also read and asked others...for instance I did a basic KraV maga seminary with Hagay Sofer, Erick from Mexico and Marco salguedo from CR, they belong to Global Krav maga. I ve come to the conclussion that combining Krav - Mga with say Jijitsu is probably the best way to go: as Krav Maga will give me an edge Mentally and Weapons wise, where as jiu jitsu has proven effective in MMA.

  • How useful could this be against a good Muay thai, brazilian jiujitsu, karate kyokushin etc etc., fighter, I mean can a person with a lesser training in this techniques, say 3 years beat in the street a trained fighter of say 7 years??? I know there a re many variables still an answer would be sweet..

  • hi, the first thing is that krav maga is in general a military system, therefore the stuff that they are doing there helps to cope with many UNEXPECTED situations. Unlikely to lets say mt or bbj. The main idea of KM is to stop the opponent as fast as possible ( KM is NOT A SPORT). The techniques of this system are effective if u know how to use them properly. The training is up to u, after all u are the one that is training, some ppl can learn faster than others .

  • in my opinion the experience gives u the advantage, but there are many factors that can infulence the outcome, therefore its not like that, that u will win always if u have been training these or that for longer than ur opponent

  • @Mafivaro A MMA fighter is tuff to beat in any fight, but krav maga will allow a student of krav maga a very good chance to survive. People don't understand that MMA fighters are conditioned to engage for about 30 minutes straight.

  • @Mafivaro

Somebody with more years experience in Muay Thai (for instance) will win, IF the Krav Maga practitioner plays by Muay Thai's rules. However, one reason that Krav Maga is so effective is because it places an emphasis on breaking these rules. A fighter who has trained exclusively in a competitive sport will not be prepared for the 'dirty' tactics that Krav Maga employs, regardless of physical condition.

That is not to say that experts of those arts wouldn't be very dangerous.

  • @atek1234 experienced krav maga practioners can still cage fight....an example is Tommy Blom; an expert level 4 KMG instructor. He has some videos on youtube, check them out.

  • @MrVewj Yeah for sure many of the skills developed in Krav Maga are transferable to cage fighting, I was pretty pumped to see a Krav expert in MMA. In my own experience I fight well against MMA trained guys (albeit amateurs, I'm only a P2 with the IKMF), however the way that I fight for sport and the way that I fight on the street are very different. It's on the street that Krav really comes out, regulated fighting doesn't really feel like Krav Maga at all.

  • @atek1234 I'm p10 in krav I trained under Carl Halley who was the first Krav trainer in Aus and he trained under Eyal many years ago, before that I trained in many different martial arts(20years) and did some years as a kick boxer in the ring. I found Krav to be the best selfdefence for the street there is for sure but to say that anyone with krav experience can beat any martial artist on the street is simply ego driven nonsense because some people can train their whole life and still be useless

  • @ANTICARBONTAX .....in the KMG grading sistem is P1 to P5, G1 to G5, E1 to E5, and M1 to M3 in KMG doesnt exist p10 but i agree with you in everything else...greetings

  • @MMACommando 0419 258 660 This is Chief Instructor Carl Halley who I trained under for years he is also 1 of only a few in the world who is from the International Tactical Krav Maga College that can issue Authentic Tactical Krav Maga Instructor certification around the globe, Ask him if p10 exists. Also he was the First Krav trainer in Australia before he started Training up trainers like my brother(also p10 obviously) for which I was offered as well but I was more interested in kickboxing.

  • @MMACommando Krav is always changing constantly, I remember when we studied all the knife tecs and 1 year later it all changed so we had to relearn a simpler(better) Tec and It may be like that with the trainers on grading, some may do things differently because they find it beneficial to the learning process as everything in this system is up for changing/nothing is off-limits to change.

  • is that danny zelig at 3:40?

  • the one where he stops the kick with his hand is not realistic ive been kicked in the hand from that orientation and unless your wrist is conditioned your looking at incapacitating pain his other techniques and flow are dynamite though

  • @rajinder2k4 He does not stop he redirect the kick by stretching his to 180 degree in front of him and shoot his to the side for redirection. It is not recommended to do it but if your legs are hurt somehow it is the only option. In krav we use motion and redirection a lot with 360 defense. Even the streight stab is not a block but a redirection. :)

  • Hi Eric....

  • a very big like!

  • Best fighter ever! Well done Eyal
