  • doesn't it sound like orion?

  • <3

  • You guys should look up "Stylz Dance Studio: Lisa Engelkin" it has amazing choreography to a guitar song kinda like this is one! its so sick!

  • I'm gonna need a revolver with six bullets in it :P

  • I absolutely love their Yin-yang style, but individually they still kick musical ass to the sky.

  • Made in México ;)

  • Me and my cousin made a metal version of this..xD

we'll post it here on Youtube soon, i made a drum beat for it and stuff

  • Absolutely amazing tune, goosebumps when the violin comes in :)

  • fantastic, so sweet!!

  • I heard orion in there, amazing musicians with a handle on texture you can only be born with

  • @visduke They even covered orion. Their influences are metal bands. This guys are freaking perfect lol.

  • beautiful piece.... 2 thumbs up and speechless

  • Amazing song. this is why i love the guitar ^_^ sometimes you can kick peoples ass with solos and riffs but other times you can express your soul <3 i just became a fan of Rodrigo y Gabriela :)

  • I feel hedonistic just listening to this song.

later: My God, I just hit the violin bit..

  • I feel hedonistic just listening to this song.

  • This is a true fabulous guitar song. I haven't heard this class of great guitar playing in a while. Does anyone have some other good tips? I mean I like this song, Rylynn from andy mcKee.

  • ahuevo no maa alusinante!!!!!!!

  • Love 1:16 to 3:15

  • what a beautiful music, i'm peruvian and this music is similar to the peruvian music, full of agresive acoustic guitars

  • Any one else think the part from around 1:16 sounds like the intro to Fade to black by metallica !

  • The song blew me away. The violins weren't needed. The song sounds like our native american roots mixed with spanish guitar. After all of the bad Spain has done to our land. We used their guitar and made it sound better than anything they could ever play.

  • @halliezmandy What do you mean? Rodrigo y Gabriela are spanish, not american!

  • Comment removed

  • @halliezmandy I apologise, I misread the comment and missed the "native american" part, I thought you had typed "american roots"

  • @ColmIncendinall 100% mexicans from Mexico City and we are all mestizos

  • Comment removed

  • @halliezmandy 100% mexicans from Mexico City and we are all mestizos

  • @halliezmandy Yeah I have been a RyG fan for a few years! Love their Metallica covers. I like to try and play some of Rodrigo's guitar lines but they are tricky!

  • @ColmIncendinall They are Mexican, actually.

  • @Tolkki333 yes i was told

  • @Tolkki333 Mexicans are mestizo meaning mixed with native american and white. Most hispanics are mestizo except the ones who are mixed with black like the hispanics in the west indies.

  • @halliezmandy FYI i'm mexican.

  • Gives me chills each time I listen to it....so awesome.

  • I love this.

  • sweet jesus, it blew me and its like the 100th time i listen to it.

  • So good it hurts. Violin comes in and shatters your bones.

  • To me it really just sounds like METAL to me ;D

  • @matchology They met each other in a metal band the played in before they started doing this.

  • i was wishng to buy an electric guitarr and after i heard this group it makes me want to never get rid of my acoustic gutar

  • I normally only listen to black metal, but this is just ...... its just awesome....... makes me wanna trade my whole rig in for a nice acoustic/electric. Maybe its my lineage boiling up in me lol

  • @Lionfang396

Naw.... I'm Asian and I'm starting to touch my acoustic a lot more.

    [Insert Sexual Joke Here]

I think this kind of music is just universally good.

  • the violin part is sublime

  • @ouchifell they brought Roby Lakatos, a Hungarian violinist who is an expert in gypsy-fiddle to do it. I wish they brought him on tour, watching both him and Gabriela play would be a spectacle!

  • Makes me wanna go to the beach....idk xD

  • this is the song that introduced me to Roby Lakatos, the gypsy violinist - and I shall forever be debt!

  • One of my favourite Rodrigo y Gabriela songs!

  • This song IS orion basically except for the parts with violin.

  • @damnedcarrot sorry to break it to you but they only use guitars in there songs

  • @pbo96 There is a clearly a violin in this song....

  • @damnedcarrot

Ruby Lakatos, gypsy fiddler, plays violin on this song - starts at about 3:16

    =a=

  • @pbo96

    You've never heard a violin?

Ruby Lakatos, gypsy violinist, plays on this song. Starts at 3:16. Listen to the whole song, then look it up.

    ==

  • @rodgallardog19

Ruby Lakatos, gypsy violinist, plays on this song. Starts at 3:16.

  • @rodgallardog19 Nope, that's definitely a violin at 3:16.

  • May believe that in our country (Mexico) were not accepted in Bellas Artes conservatory... I think they were very stupid.

  • One can look at their covers of Metallica, Jimmy Hendrix, Pink Floyd and say "they have no originality. This song is an epic example of what they can do. This, Tamacun, Buster Vodoo, 11:11... this guys are just virtuosos.

  • this song is so good... the feeling is just great, i cant describe... i love how they play the smooth part with dampened high notes

  • this is art,,,some thing different,,,,this is like fresh air,,,tahks to rodrigo y gabriella

  • 1:15 I thought was fade to black...

  • 1:16-3:00= HEAVEN

  • I can listen to this all day.

I hate repetition, but this is an exception.

  • playin this got me into the RIAM

  • absolutely aweome music .. used to sell this duo their strings when they so humbly busked on Grafton Street .. an honour to have met them

  • reminds me a lot of jesse cook

  • im gonna try to learn this on piano

  • i get the illusion that the writing is moving in the picture

  • it is moving, but really really slowly...trippy

  • It is moving, fast forward a bit and follow a letter

  • LOL, youre not trippin man it is moving just very slow... keep an eye on the right border of the vid and you'll see that its moving towards it................. anywho.. this song is the shittt, i love the slow part! very.... how you say...... sends chill down your spine like somethings coming... then what happens? a brilliant violin solo...... the small guitar part after it right before the main riff is BOMB as well

  • thats because it is

  • i love the violin in this song

  • Being the chauvinist pig that I am, I have always held that for some bizarre reason there are no great female guitar players. Until 2006 when that first album came along and Gabriela proved me wrong.

  • what about ana vidovic????

  • stupid bastard

  • it is obvious that you havelost this argument

  • They really are remarkable musicians. People always talk about the rock guitar gods and, don't get me wrong, they're absolutely amazing. But these guys just have... Something else that's amazing. Plus, all the percussion is done on their guitars.

Gabriela's also making a point for us girls out there <3

  • there is jus something about there music that it feels like i'm listening to a storyteller ..cant really explain, but its beautiful

  • @AlHouseProductions

    rythm makes me soft >:)))

  • does anybody have the violin sheets from 3:15 ...? Id realy like to play that

    pm plz

  • Sorry, but I have to disappoint you. As far as I know there isn't a detailed and exact sheet for that part because it was improvised by the famous hungarian violinist, Roby Lakatos so they've never noted it down officially. A sad thing indeed.. =[

  • I think you'll find that is all improvising.. pretty hot stuff.!

  • They are amazing!

  • i love the incorporated Fade to Black arrangement, very pleasing to the ears!

  • roby lakatos on the violin in this blows me away

  • just an amazing group of musicians.

  • The part from 0:18 to 0:20 sounds like "Tamacun"

    :D

  • i love this song!

  • violin hero [for the other half]

good job for uploading i like this song

  • Who's the violinist?

  • A Hungarian gypsy violinist named Roby Lakatos

  • Lakatos did this? No wonder, its spectacular... Thanks very much for the info!

  • rod and gab say that this song is their "starway to heaven" master piece

  • thx for the good quality. my favorite song by far.

  • muy buena cancion =)

  • AFAIK the whole track is written by Rodrigo y Gabriela, but it surely is inspired by Metallica :)

  • I agree i can hear a bit of fade to black in here.

  • i heard this song for the first time last year and i thought the exact same thing. i like how they kinda threw that in there like that

  • man the chorus to this song is beautiful and had been swirling around in my head all day. is there a metalica cover in the middle?

  • It wouldn't surprise me, Rod and Gab used to in metal bands in Argentina.

  • a great song
