But in some cases like Terry Bozzio, he's made it a melodic instrument with chromatically tuned toms and a range of other "flavors." However, Numanuma20 has a point, a lot of drummers do learn another instrument. Many of them can also play piano. However, something that should be mentioned is that Piano is also considered a percussive instrument...Coincidence? I don't think so.
