It's a well established fact that Serbia committed atrocities during the war. Even Serbia's most ardent defenders acknowledge these crimes. I've read interviews with Serbs who have acknowledged their part in these atrocities before the NATO intervention.

Yugoslavia was the template for all further 'humanitarian' interventions. The pretext is fleshed out by a few judicious shots of dead children (of the correct ethnic group) whilst other shots of the other ethnic group are ignored or denied.
I am most disgusted by the Jewish war mongers who bayed for Serbian blood since it was Serbs who had given their blood to save Jews in the Balkans.

I sometimes contact 'journalists' who covered the war and spread the propaganda and lies about Serbia. This whole operation was coordinated not just militarily but in the media too. The lies persist to this day and that is why I contact media outlets when they skew the news against Serbia.
Gospic and Srebrenica are two cases in point they were both ignored when Serbs were the victims of beheadings and eye gougings but when they retaliated years later in Srebrenica...howls of outrage.

The media are always involved, because they need to have the people on their side. They cant make a war if all the people protest against the war in their own country. So they have to convince the people that the war is justified.

HellenLogic: I understand that the media were complicit in the Yugoslavia propaganda but in Iraq there has been lots of criticism. Not as much as it deserves, but lots nonetheless.
What I don't understand is why the media continues with its bullshit about Serbia. Are they just so ashamed that they got it wrong for so long that they are afraid to admit their part in the vilification and demonization of a whole nation? Actually, it would be tantamount to admitting war crimes by the BBC CNN et al.

In Iraq there is alot of critisism, because they are losing. The us government has thrown too much money there and they dont see any progress. They lose alot of soldiers and still they cant export oil to get profit from this war. I Serbia it is different. They were winners, so noone can blaim them. f the same thing would happen in Serbia, i am sure there would be alot of presure from the media also.

Yes that is true but I have to tell you that in the UK before the invasion of Iraq there were a million people on the streets who protested about the war BEFORE it began.
In the case of Yugoslavia NONE protested. It went unchallenged because they media had demonized Serbia for a long time before the attacks.
