Please let me understand something; How can such a simple business idea burn through so much cash, yet still have people willing to VC it in such a big way? So far it (as far as I understand it) has done nothing but loose tons of cash on an idea that could be reproduced in a couple hours with a kid behind a keyboard. There is no proprietary technology or anything special about the idea that would keep a million other sites from popping up and doing the same thing overnight.

Michael Arrington was being kind of pushy, but he was trying to get answers mostly so you cant really fault him for that. Plus Arrrington and Kevin seem to know eachother so I don't really think that Arrington was trying to be a jerk I think he was just taunting Kevin playfully.

Kevin is really smug and we all know he's getting paid. I guess he can no longer hide this. I have never liked the guy because he always came off as a poser. If you look at him in the old days he was a fat, awkward geek and his PR team repackaged him as a spokesperson for the net and tech.

I have grown to like him and his drive. I admire what he is doing and wish him all the best.

At the same time, Michael, you did an outstanding job interviewing Kevin. You asked perfect questions -- the entire interview was incredibly interesting and you did an excellent job conducting an interview that wasn't a typical "fluff" piece.

Hey, love tech crunch, not trying to flame at all but please try to use some cheap lapel mic's (maybe 15 each) and properly setup and MCU (medium close up). You guys do have good content I Just think the production quality could be much higher if you did a few things. I'd love to do it for you too but sadly I live in san diego and not san fransisco.
