  • i live in bramledesh--for those of you not from the GTA thats brampton. i believe that torontos lack of greenspace is deplorable. though bramptons not much better, at least we have a few trees in some places. its great that the emphasized the few green spaces in toronto however it is still mostly inhabited by concrete.

  • blah blah blah deplorable blah blah blah im so smrt..

toronto has so much green in it and trees are so protected that it's almost annoying.

open your eyes a little more.. trees are all over this city.

  • I love Toronto aka T-dot...lol

  • I have live in Toronto the past 6 years ,i try to do every thing to make it but what did i get zero ,work more hours pay more bills .now i live in Montreal work more hours pay less bills .i am more happy i thank God i make good move.

  • 1.Shity Teams 2.Shity Infrasrtucture 3.Being taxed to death by city hall just for living there 4. A bunch of stuck up yuppy dickweeds who dont realize they live in one of the worst cities in the world 5.Zero city transport to a Major international airport IE Pearson Int'l 6.Insane ammount(the new home owners tax or somethin) of taxes just to live in the city are just a few of the reasons toronto sucks. I'm done with this shit, everyone who doesn't live in toronot knows how bad it is. Period.

  • GTA isnt just the city proper. Now I lived in Scarborough, Scarborough Is torontos gettho, I did volunteer work for the St.Vincient de Paul and we'd go out to paces like Tuxedo Court handing out food vouchers for people. In some of these slums people pay 1400$a month to live in a fucking slum; another reason toronto sucks ass. Oh yeah and the Citys allways broke but they can shell out something like 12mill for ttc cameras. torontos infrasturcture is shit and allways will be.

  • It's amassing how ignorant people have gotten, they think that trees and a green lawn represent "nature". How many eco systems do you think are working in those trees growing out of those air vents ? I am going to take a wild guess of ZERO ;) Keep dreaming Toronto.

  • No seriously, Toronto is a great city... I went there for a week-end and I enjoyed it... However, MONTREAL IS A LOT MORE FUN. The night clubs in Toronto are so lame lol. The professional teams are lame...

    GO HABS GO

  • I'M CONVINCED BY THESE ARGUMENTS

  • Your comin from hamilton and your sayin this? Hah your fuckin crazy bitch.

And the blue jays are a good team dumbfuck...

  • 29,040 people want their 3:55 seconds back.

Toronto SUCKS for many reasons..chief among them is the lack of human scale developments. Massive buildings which blight the skyline and create caverns of shadow and darkness. The soul of a city is its people and yet you persist in building in a way and on a scale that dwarfs and reduces nature..to the point you are now taking tours of TREES and ROOFTOPS. Wankers..ECO WANKERS..keeping and saving nature would have been better than this. Your too late.

  • Toronto, native word meaning lack of creative inspiration. Synonym for Urban Blight. A tree tour.,how novel..since all you have planted is CONCRETE and Ashphalt now A TREE is an ANOMALY

  • Toronto embraces cultural diversity. There's a reason that so many immigrants choose Toronto over Montreal.

  • More like jobs buddy. I come from an immigrant family and I know that jobs are far more important to secure, well before cultural diversity. Which I think is poor in Toronto anyway, but I digress.

  • REPEAT APRE MOI...TORONTO SUCKS.

Urban blight on a massive scale. Graceless artless existence..thats Toronto. FLAT RAPED LAND. Anyone who lives there clearly can not see the way the world is going..SUSTAINABLE Toronto is not it

  • Hey Toronto, YOU SUCK,

Sincerely Alberta , Saskatchewan & British Columbia

If you live in Toronto..Look into any mirrior and repeat after me..I SUCK...

  • Jealous!

  • Go tend to your grain village folk.

  • It is mostly concrete though. Yes there are a few trees in the neighbourhood areas.. especially Cabbagetown, but not downtown.

  • Toronto sucks. What grey dank place of real nature. Move to Buelingto or somethingYou can stand on the Hamilton mountain and see Trees to the Horizon...You cant get a veiw like that anywhere in Toronto

  • Oh it's not so bad.. it's easy to drive out to the GTA. We have some gardens too. It's still better than Hamilton, sorry lol

  • wao, green roof, interesting

  • Sunnyside pool in the summer - I used to walk down sweltering Queen st.,stop at the beer store, and drink a large cold, can of Fosters as I crossed the trestle over to the parkland, past Palais Royale down to the enveloping tranquility of Sunnyside pool - it was all so refreshing and beautiful!

  • doesnt look to green to me what a joke!

  • Does the green roof do anything about the fact that you can't walk two feet in Toronto with out having to step over some bum begging for money? Does it do anything about the garbage, and filth that covers the ground? Does it do anything about a mayor who couldn't manage the finances of a lemonade stand, let alone a big city?

  • Um... have you ever been in Toronto? There aren't many hobo's every ''two feet''. If you've ever walked along Yonge and Bloor which are busy streets you dont find that much garbage

  • It is a city and a life. I have dealt with verious homeless since I have come to BC and just as bad when I was in California and other parts of the US. What does it do. Encourage people to feel proud and that's a good enough start for those who normally don't pay attention.

  • Great presentation and soundtrack. I just visited Toronto and I noticed how green the city has become - and I'm from Vancouver!

BTW some responding comments below here are just retarded beyond all comprehension - why are some so eager to share their head space with the world especially when there isn't much there?

  • ok vancouver is way greener that just looked alot like weeds like the one in the side walk is that suppose to be a joke?

  • why are you being such a negativefag? can't you see they're trying.

  • Was born and raised in Toronto and now live in BC. I miss the big T.O. parks, High Park, My wild roses in my one place's backyard, the evergreens around my studio, Riverdale park and zoo right in the city, Cabagetown, The boardwalk.. Mixed with the culture and life that city provided me... It was perfect. I am here now and it is a different green, different plants, different life. One is not greater nor better than the other. It is only different and it is a shame you can not connect to that.

  • AGREED!!! YAY and thanks.

  • you search: "cliccami mano"

    it's a funny video ;)

if you want watch my channel ; )

  • I actually use to sell green roofs in Toronto. They are expensive, heavy, and most will never maintain it. Rather than the yet-to-be-perfected green roof, most people opt for a TPO white roof, which has most of the environmental benefits---and is reasonably priced (when compared to Green roofs)

  • good point. epdm now offers a white roof, and the classic cast gravel on mod bit pushes that roof system to a 25 year design with reflective benefits.

  • I wish the lot of these inbred youtube morons bickering on this video's comments would shut the hell up and play nice. You're all a bunch of assholes, not just the right wing, not just the left wing, none of that BS. All of you. Maybe it's time to grow a brain and realize that you're all wrong? Do some positive thinking for once and a while and stop being so damn selfish. Your interests aren't more important than anyone else's.

  • porn is much better on vista

  • WrestlingChannel401 "porn is much better on vista" ya it is far easier for 'big brother' to know you are watching it. What does this have to do with T.O. might add?

  • This video is on the right track! There is a great need to increase enviro awareness in Toronto. Yes we have some green areas that are neat, but so many buildings (usually downtown) need a small green patch to make them real. Look at Dundas Square for example...

  • Might I suggest a nuclear meltdown in Pickering, That has done wonders for bringing nature back to the Chernobyl area.

  • get rid of a bunch of bleeding heart liberals as well

  • luvguy1 "bleeding heart liberals"? now how would you phrase that in your own words?

  • someone who is scared to take a step without a complete social safety net (drives my taxes up), protects the individual rights at all costs even above protecting society as a whole (e.g. crinimals), hops on the bandwagon for any left wing cause without thinking, thinks any minority is wronged by default....pickering meltdown is not a bad idea

  • Very Good

  • Racism is dead, in Toronto and everywhere. The few who continue to think they are superior because of their skin colour or religious views are being left behind. Mind you, they were a minority to begin with.

  • youre almost more of a loser than the pretentious mommy-coddled yuppie-wannabe in this useless video

  • like those bloody sikhs

  • torontoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • I am a student living in REXDALE. whick is the worst place to live in Toronto and had the highest crimes rate in Ontario. And I have to say, Kebbs that you are judging the entire millions of people living in Toronto as Racist just by a few bad experiences. Well let me explain something to you. You cannot judge a mass amount of people only by a few bad experiences. You are are Stereotyping and judging an entire city just like people do about a race. You are the one stereotyping, are you a Racist

  • What you saying is 100% right. But you are not addressing what I said. I am sad to see that places like that exist, where poor people live in conditions much worse than on "trendy queen street". I am sad that many ignore their very existence! Please reread the context within which I made my comment. I am an immigrant myself and have embraced this culture. I am the last to be racist. Understand and think before attacking.

  • How am I not addressing what you said? you said "TORONTO IS DISLIKED BY CANADA FOR MANY REASONS" It's an opinion based on nothing but negativity. I see all kinds of bad things in Toronto everyday, and poverty if your going to change the subject. Toronto has a lot to be proud of. I am not an immigrant, so maybe thats why I SEE THE GOOD IN PEOPLE AND ALL THINGS not just what I'm used to. You don't like Toronto GET OVER IT, people do care about poverty, and Toronto cares about that the most.

  • Nope, you are really not addressing anything I said, especially with that shining last sentence. Listen, let's just get over this. After all, who wants to mess with Toronto-bashing immigrants such as myself? Peace.

  • Hmmmm...the most multicultural city in the world and you label it as 'pretty racist'? What fairyland do you live in?

  • I actually lived in several cities in Canada, and Europe. I lived in Toronto (while studying) for long enough to see that although the city does indeed have a lot of diversity, the social cohesion is poor, at best. Numbers mean nothing cooliepops. I am 100% white (I am also assuming you are). The racism against blacks is particularly prevalent. When is the last time you went to Regent Park, Jane and Finch, Rexdale...? Those ghettos are not what Canada means to me. Lots to be learnt from Montreal

  • Show me a city that doesn't have racism. And please don't say Montreal.

The areas of the city that you have listed are mainly populated by poor, gov't assisted people. They exist in every North American city and Toronto is no worse than any of them. You shouldn't label T.O. based on low income neighborhoods. Being the biggest city in Canada and a place where new immigrants mainly relocate to, you are going to have some culture clash for sure.

  • Yes, I will say Montreal. At least all new immigrants learn the common language of French, and the provincial gov't ensures that.

It's amazing how you refer to those areas I listed before. Like it's not part of your city, or your responsibility as a fervent Torontonian to ponder it and do something about it. Go do something about that before tackling green roofs.

Just look around at other people's comments. Toronto is disliked by Canada for many reasons.

  • well said!!!!!!!!! Montreal is the best ... well to me!

  • It is a personal choice, and I agree. But why is it that Torontonians are so overly defencive about their city? Oh well.

  • what is the name of the music you use in this video?

  • Mojib is the artist.

  • Good choice of music. Toronto is dumpy. Less so now. :)

  • ohhh ma che cazzo e quetoo?

  • WOW

  • God, I haven't been to Toronto in YEARS. I would go north of the border more often, but those customs agents aren't very nice.

    >:C

  • i was born in toronto..

  • ahah Hey did check out Get Sulky! I love T.O

  • I Love My City but let me assure you people we've got alot more then wasted footage about (one)rooftop tree... Come check us out...

  • lol... boy am I glad I fast forwarded this shit.

  • you search: "cliccami mano"

    it's a funny video ; )

  • All Canadian cities are like this

  • I love Toronto!

  • Great music what is it?

  • All the foliage + shaky camera = hard time for the compression algorithm = bad video image quality. It would have been nice to see more than the one green roof.

  • How nice.
