2:32 is my best friend and her mum!! saw them live last night and alan came and sat next me for a bit!! I'm best friends with his daughter !! hahaha!!! they were amazing! :D
love and appreciation to all you people here who feel something special in hearing these songs again ; I hope we get back to artistic heart-felt non-sex-saturated music again.
Good to see you touring & enjoying the live experience lads.
i dont think they are 'under rated' because theyre are soooo rated highly by millions. so what if the charts didnt show they were mega sleers but as for aband theyre pretty much untouchable these guys made my 90sclass. i look back now and i feel like cryin cos they aint coming back.but fuck it i got to live those times and these guys shud always remember that. best band ever.dusting of off the 97 cov top with SHED7 on the back for v!
Always loved the Sheds and the York connection was a bonus. Can't walk past the Mucky Old Duck now without muttering"Sorry mate,no trainers".God i love York.
If anything it is good they were an under-rated band as it means they don't get overplayed, exploited and essentially ruined like so many other great bands like oasis and coldplay with the exception on blur
The sheds never kissed london arse. thats why they were never massive. I respect them for that. It seems trendy to slag them off in the nme, but they were cool as fuck
I love Shed Seven1 On the last tour went to Aberdeen and Glasgow! Have been to see Rick Witter and the Dukes at Dundee and Aberdeen. On the farewell tour went to Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow & the last one at York! I go and see Rick dj when he's up too! He always talks and is really down to earth and doesn't mind me and my chum Jen waiting outside stage doors for him!
This song is so lovely, wish they could re-release all their songs as singles :)
awesome video, everytime me and my son pass the swan we always say "sorry mate no trainers" ive got a vid of me singing along to this live in Leeds a few weeks ago. i'll post it soon
oiy disco bird! it's the same with me. when i split with my ex girlfriend i played it over and over. i saw these lot at manchester academy last friday and when they played this cried like a fuckin baby! oh dear. my brother wondered what the fuck was goin on, haha!
I used to listern to this song when I was about 17 after I broke up with a lad :) They played it live on tuesday night and it made all my skin prickle up. I love this song!!
oiy disco bird! it's the same with me. when i split with my ex girlfriend i played it over and over. i saw these lot at manchester academy last friday and when they played this cried like a fuckin baby! oh dear. my brother wondered what the fuck was goin on, haha!
seen the dukes twice at king tuts there good but still got hte sheds at heart love that song reminds me of the time i went to brixton to see them what a weekend
Yep, filmed in York, the railway bridge being the one over the York - Scarborough line (adjacent to Bootham Crescent, and the hallowed fortress Kit Kat!) the pub Is the Old White Swan, a popular haunt of the Sheds, and where Rick was seen before the Dukes gig at Fibbers in December 2005.
Quality band. Much better than the NME-driven dross that's about now, endless Kook/Strokes look-a-likes with no substance. They are not worthy Rick. Genius. Presume the vid was filmed in York ? Trying to pinpoint the railway bridge as I work on the trains !
Sorry mate no trainers, Ha Ha Quality video.Any chance of a few clips from the wittercism dvd? I checked out the stills from the cockpit gig on your site and i can see me filming chasing rainbows with my phone, not the best quality but still good enough for me.i also have a clip of you filming me filming you. Will the cockpit gig feature on the wittercism dvd? you must have got some good footage.Anyway Keep up the good work.
I've just finished editing it and Rick has confirmed he is very happy with it, so keep your eyes out for the album and if all goes as planned, the Wittercism documantary will be added as a free DVD with the album. I can also state that I've obviously heard the finished album and I reckon you are gonna love it.
it"s a great performance...
the best album of the year
it can be my love adventurez of inspiration..

Grea band, great song - however, the bouncer is Big T from Toffs, not John Warlock !!

It's a shame that they never got a token shot of the ground...
This seems to be a vague ramble around Bootham, taking in Gillygate and the playing fields in front of the Mental Hospital, next to Bootham School.

Definitely filmed in York - the pub looks like the Old White Swan on Goodramgate.
