Well, enclave had state-of-the-art powered armors and energy weapons, so a giant killer-robot is necessary. The NCR and Caesar's Legion are a bunch of push overs.

Well, NCR is really false democracy and Caesars legion is just evil.

Personally, I like working with Mr.House. I find it the best ending to Fallout New Vegas. Save your game at a point where you get to choose, Thats what I did. I prefer Mr.House.

Ah yes but still, be that as it may, Mr.House is smart about Caesar at this point. This shows House to be the sly type and makes the game story more fun in my opinion. Whatever side you choose, Its only going to effect the other Fallout Games in ONE Way

Let me give some examples.

Judging By Fallout 2's story, The Vault Dweller KILLED The master and did not join him.

Judging by New Vegas's Story (With little easter eggs here and there) The Lone Wanderer cleaned the water.

I always second guessed with the factions I worked with, because every one of them did something horrifyingly wrong. As for New Vegas, I believe it's canon ending will be independent vegas, since Yes man said he'd make himself more 'assertive' over time. This hints at possible future conflicts, hence, sequels.

That would be a great DLC.

The lone wander goes to vegas looking to win big, they meet up some were along the way then its coop. Like 1 friend be on fallot 3 one on new vegas, both play the dlc then one invite one another to the game then it starts the coop adventure of fallout history. (The first ever :P). They have to fight or have kids (Depending on gender) at the end. then they both go back to there own games.
