Hmmm not as good as I thought she would be. She has beautiful legs and feet, but her arms are horrible and half the time she looks like she is sticking her neck out. It may be just the jacket she is wearing, but I expected much more from a principal dancer.
shes absolutely amazing, and yeah for whoever is saying she's not turned out i think you need to watch again. She graduated from the vaganova academy, they wouldnt have even accepted her if they didnt think she had turn out. She's also principal of the Mikhailovsky
THOSE LEGS ARE SIMPLY ORGASMIC! She has such divine feet and legs! Oh my! I say keep the legs and chop off the upper body - I can't stand her arms. Or better yet just put a sack over her head. I could watch her legs for daaaayyyyysssss!
LaKimmois, can I ask you where/how you saw this? I'd love to know where it's visible. All I see is that her fifth is closed tight and her second is pretty much 180 out.
The hyperextension looks borderline grotesque to me but I guess she can't help that
Her turn out is ok, otherwhise she wouldn't be able to do an ecartee pose. Yes, she does not have an aplomb of Zakharova, a bit unstable in tours, sometimes is off balance, but it has nothing in common with her turn out.
By the way, turnout ability in theory should HELP when turning, because when a knee is leaned strictly aside all the figure looks like a corkscrew and it makes the turns smooth, more fast and it helps ending them musically.
Can someone please tune that piano?

Another glaring weakness is her poor turn out and inability to work within the limits of that turnout she does have.

She's so hyperextended that she can hardly balance without support of the barre.
Yes, she's lovely but more and more Vaganova trained dancers are beginning to look like parodies of the school instead of exemplars.
Sadly not impressed.
