lol the part at the end where it says lets make your lightscribe discs today is bs they probably charge alot and many people probably have lightscribe dvd/cd drives at home and the discs for these aren't too expensive
i wanna use lightscribe technology for like 100 copies of music cds (my own music). could those burned cds have a problem being read by most music players??? (car radios, stereo systems, home computer with old cd drive etc...)
is it me or has this technology been out since the ps2 era.on the ps2 discs UK pal version im referring to,on the data side it has multiple playstation logos lasered directly to the data side.i don't know lightscribe sounds new to me.but i has always wandered how sony was capable of burning their logo over the data side.but i think they used this technology to authenticate their authenticity.i don't know?.answers on a postcard please.
You have to buy DVD- or + Rs that are lightscribe enabled. You'll see on the container, it says lightscribe. If you can't find the word or still aren't sure about it then simply look at the disk. Ones that work are completely blank other than a light coloring.
I haven't done lightscribing yet, still messing around with it. But I know you can change the setting to have it burn darker than normal, however it will take longer. Maybe that would work.
dude i really don't think you know what u are talking about every drive has a lifespan and i already found the answer to be a general of 20 months and also lasers DO NOT last forever LOL cheers!
all my pcs have lightscribe :) for the best labeling quality is a little bit slow but is worth the time. it wnt last forever, but the label will last if you take care of the disc.
my experience; don't touch the print surface of the lightscribe disk when it's just finished printing and still warm. Otherwise, it will damage the print image and leave your finger print or scratch on the disk.
hello my HP PC has its logo lightscribe,in other words, my PC could do print label direct to the surface of the dvd,cd,what kind of blank cds dvds to be used?
yea i wonder why they cost so much more than the regular CD/DVDs sux man all cuz they have a special label feature they make it more if anything they shud make them cheaper so ppl wud wana buy lightscribe drives :s
ye you need the lightscriber which are to be honest with you same price as normall dvds, its only the back of them are differnt which can be laser printed, lighscriber give you pro result but all in black.white so its not colour full, printers are but i think the printer running cost is higher than light scribers as they use ink and stuff, if you want lighscriber professoinal design softwares i sell this kinda softwares so just contact me, good luck

amirgelman 1 year ago
@amirgelman no, the lightscribe only affects the display portion, it only prints a label. It should be able to be used in all of those listed.

@rax7 ur trying to burn data, as a lightscribe? what do u mean?
layerofdoom 2 years ago
No it does not.
You have to buy special Lightscribe Dvd's. The lightscribe unit can "burn" darker colors into that special layer. You might compare it with a tatoo.
FlycoFx 2 years ago
you can put data on ANY dvd or cd but lightscribe dvd's you can put a picture on the non-data side

The fact that Halo 3 is more than 1 colour is stopping you.

What's stopping you is that retailers won't return video games.
