  • I was here!!!

  • Where are those Pro-Palestinians protesting for human rights?

  • Theres no oil in Darfur..the sad reality that politics often refuses to look at a humanitarian situation but looks instead of the benefits of an intervention, purely economic. Let us question that there may be negative impact of lack of action, may the people we refuse to act for grow resentment toward us, where is humanity, where is unity, do we really want insecurity...the good ol question "what would jesus do?"

  • Save Darfur!No innocents should die!SAVE DARFUR!

  • Save Darfur!No innocents should die!SAVE DARFUR!

  • Kewl.

  • "All that is neccesary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

    -Edmund Burke

  • Will you pardon me by asking "What the Hell does that mother fucking piece of shit have to do wuth darfur?" As far as i'm concerned let darfur fend for itself just like Rwanda had to fend for itself over 100 days unless you can tell me what that means.

  • It depends what "mother fucking piece of shit" you mean. If you're talking about Burke, the quote just fits. If you're talking about Rusesabagina, he's speaking from his own experiences, and he doesn't want to see in Darfur what he saw in Rwanda, and wishes that someone will help the victims of Darfur, which the world failed to do in Rwanda. Whether or not genocide wins in the end, total triumph of evil comes when no one helps when it's needed, which it is. Oh, and pardon your language.

  • Ok if the people of Darfur are being killed then why would the females be left alive if the murderers were going to kill them? Do the millias have a use for the women or something?

  • @ FeatherWings78: Are you a virgin? Have you never been kissed? The militias are keeping the women alive so they can rape them. They will dispose of them when they have no more use for them.

Are you really as stupid as you make yourself out to be or are you just being a racists prick with no heart? Which is it?

  • One i'm a virgin and 2 i'm not a racists prick you Dick weed!

  • well i'll believe you, and you must not have learned much from rwanda or congo to just say let darfur fend for itself. things like this need some intervention

  • There never was a Genocide in Congo!

  • whatever. this argument has been a very delayed one and it continues to go nowhere. Also, there was never any declared genocide in Congo, but the Congolese journey after its independence from Belgium wasnt exactly an easy one.

  • Apparently there never was a genocide in Rwanda when it was happening, the media called it a "tribal warfare". In my books, anytime you're attacking civilians, killing children and raping women, it's genocide.

    Lazy Western World.

  • This man has so much to do with Darfur. He himself went through a genocide in Rwanda. He helped over 1000 people for no reason, but to keep his hotel's dignity. Tell me when's the last time you've done that.

  • He didn't do that to save the hotel's diginity he did it to live up to its name as an oasis of calm and to save peoples lives.

  • unfortunately a lot of the money donated by Americans don't even reach people in Darfur... I've been to Sudan to many times out in the "Field" so to speak , it seems the War Lords are getting charity funds more than the people. I bet if there was a lot of Oil or Diamonds in Sudan other countries would give a damn.

  • Yes...his words are heartfelt...and I also felt every speaker on that podium, but why must such an atrocity happen AGAIN????

  • ... Like many great people have said - we never really learn from our pasts, as humans. History always repeats itself.

...and, to top that off... as they quoted in the movie, most people will look at their TV, say "oh my god, that's horrible..." and then go on eating their dinners.

  • The United States and The U.N doesn't want to think of Darfur as a genocide like Rwanda even though they promised to stop any Genocidal acts. The United States didn't want to get involved with Rwanda because of Somalia and now are unsure if they should get involved with Darfur or not. Many Humanitarians have asked the Sudanese Government to let them enter but the Sudanese Government has refused lest what their doing be shown fully.
