  • Thank you.. you have a great memory!! He was in a number of commercials over 10 years....

  • that old man is supposed to be Katyama

  • Yes, that was my dog Duke. And as a matter of fact, we shot that commercial in 1997 over three nights in Pasadena. We actually used 8 other dogs. I coordinated that shoot with my dog Duke, and the others. It was shot by Kinka Usher... one of the top commercial DP's and directors.

  • @CompanionsForLife1: your dog Duke was a-may-zing. Loved that dog. I think he also appeared in a TV ad for a camera, in which the dog is being scolded by its owner ("Very. Bad. Dog!") for supposedly knocking over the trash. The Dog then stakes out the kitchen, with the camera, and photographs the evil cat in the act. Such a lovely dog. Amazingly expressive face. Thank you both for your work!

  • I wonder what was the name of that old spokesperson in the end of the commercial. And was he still alive?????!!!!!!

  • Dale Ishimoto, died in 2004. He's suppose to play the persona of "Mr K." which is based on Yutaka Katayama who was the first president of Nissan/Datsun USA . Also known for being the father of the Nissan Z.
