Does anyone see a link to the 1973 French-Czech adult animated Sci-fi movie Fantastic Planet in this movie? one of Cameron's fave animated movies and used it as one his inspirations. Many ideas from the game were actually great, I understand why they did what they were going with the game. The execution however was flawed. But please keep trying James!... But first, please get a great game advisor and a partner that have actually created great IP based action games in the past.

PS: I would dig if you could control a Navi in First Person like in Mirror's Edge, thoughout the jungle, running from "Sky People", jumping from dragons into ships, and from ship to ship.

Avatar was written before Pocahontas in 1993 and Pocahontas was released in 1995. Cameron did announced in 96 that he was gonna make the movie for a 99 release date but decided in 98 to put the script in a drawer and wait for the technology to do justice to his vision in a decade.

Avatar doesn't even deserve the name 'movie'. It's more like a cool Disney attraction. Kudos to the creators of the plants and figures and textures to create a new world, but not to Cameron. The story was hell bad and the world was all nice but would it have been real the movie would be but a stiff 'talkie' and a bad documentary or something. The characters add nothing, the cameramovement suggestion adds nothing, the story is a total cliché rip off. Just the 3d world looks amazing.
