I liked your pick of number 1, but I just do not get how the previous Potter films we're not rewatchable. I thought they were, especially part 1, 6, and 3. And seriously, they are films, not books. It is okay to have a film do things different than the books. That is part of the creative process and artistic freedom. Kubrick made The Shining and A Clockwork Orange. Those were classics.

Can we agree to start using the word "favorite" for these sorts of things rather than "best"? These movies are clearly not the "best" movies of the year. I know that's a difficult concept to swallow considering the subjective nature of "best" and "favorite", but I would have preferred to see Hugo, Tree of Life, Drive, etc. rehashed than see this tripe passed off as the "Best" of the year. This is depressing; not just because you have this opinion, but because 126,000 others seem to as well.

I think my number one would be Super 8. That movie was beautiful! Then again so were a bunch of other movies this year. Like Thor. And X MEN FIRST CLASS (hells yeah). Not Green Lantern. Hugo was beautiful as well and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close made me bawl. So did Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (the Snape scene, come on). And the end of Captain America. Okay I'm a total teenage girl.

they stole part of a Lego commercial to make this movie, magneto would have killed everyone in the submarine, the bad guy was never nor could ever be that powerful in the comics, and its a prequel to a trilogy that the last stand could not be worse, until I saw x-men origins. They misrepresented the characters, and my favorite character died too soon, even as far as movies go.

Couldnt agree more, harry potter dh part 2 had such a big job, it had to end one of the biggest film franchises of all time and it managed to do it brilliantly! A lot of people complain that the films wernt as faithful to the books as they should have been but if you translate every page of a book into a film it just becomes boring or too rushed. Well done Harry Potter :)

I did not like the Harry Potter film series, mainly because the books are 100x better. Deathly Hallows was a good movie, but in terms of following the book and being true to Harry Potter it was the 2nd worst HP film next to Half Blood Prince.
