Untimely reply Iceman, but if you give your goldfish a large enough environment, they grow to about a foot. Koi on the other hand, can get into the neighborhood of 3 feet (sometimes larger).

ha, those are koi and they are very funny, I was at a hilton resort and there was a stream full of them. Someone threw a piece of bread into the water and they piled up several inches outside of the water.
