Fruits Basket taught me a lot. Even though it's fictional, it gives me hope to know maybe that there will be someone like Tohru, or even hope for myself, that I can outlive and be happy with things that I've gone through. It also reminds me that there is more to someone than their looks or money. And even I will admit, I'm not perfect. But it's good to have hope that I can be someone truly kind.

Fruits Basket is the most beautiful manga I have ever read. Although it can be funny, it also very touching and made me cry a few times. Fruits Basket is like a tranquilizer; every time I read it I just feel better afterwards. It made me think about a lot of important things in life and made me into a better person.

Thank you Natsuki Takaya for creating such a beautiful story.

Many people are thinking that Fruits Basket is just harmless, maybe little bit boring anime. But in fact.. there's important message. Tohru's optimism and kindness. "It's not always easy to see the good in people. In some people, you might even doubt that it's there at all. But if you can somehow, find a way to believe...sometimes that's all it takes to help someone, to give them the strength to find the good in themselves." We should about that kindness and we would get more peaceful world. ^^

I just came by here to say that this show aired on one of the cartoon stations i used to watch as a kid (i'm 16 don't mind the age of the account), anyway whenever this show came up i got depressed as hell, the song made me depressed and the show made me depressed, i don't know why. But i just had to return to see the opening of the series that made feel glum... and it still depresses me...

I find it unusual since it's a multiple number of guys surrounding this one girl which is the opposite of the usual girls around one guy type of romcom anime.

@NIR111Class Well it is normal, actually. A bunch of girls around a boy is called a harem, however a bunch of boys around a girl is called a reverse harem. I wouldn't go so far as to call this a reverse harem, because it's really only apparent that two of the male characters are in love with the main female. Though I strongly reccommed this, it's touching, yet constantly hilarious. A true classic, I have to say. I think you should watch it if you're into cute/romantic animes. It's so cute <3!
