  • Also the musical theme of John Wayne's Red River soundtrack! This is such a funny movie!

  • @joshoshie, be more attentive to what you're reading. Instead of choosing profanity. It was a carry-on of the @Richard Eldon cheap shots a Dean Martin 1st off. Secondly the less than super acting was in no way directed at John Wayne, but Angie Dickinson really was less than super that's it. Everyone else was A1. I don't have any more time to ask you to be nice I'll just hit my knees and pray for ya. That's better than a war of words. Good-bye.

  • This could not be any sexier....unless Stumpy left.

  • @metallicagods agreed! ;D

  • @metallicagods NO WAY! Walter Brennan is the best

  • Such peaceful, beautiful voices. Such handsome men. Gone are the days. I love this. Thank you for sharing.

  • quite possibly one of the best ditties of all time?

  • As to the cast, song and setting it's A 1. I really am an Action / Drama type not country western. But i do have 2 favorites This one here I've watched like 30 times for this particular reason. Then open range came along, I've seen that like 6 times and counting. Although Rio Bravo lacks the superb acting this scence's second to none.

  • @ber7961 WTF?? so you have seen Open Range a couple of times now you think you can run John Wayne down. You would be the first person on this planet to put Open Range and superb acting in the same sentance. Although R.Duvall is A1 in any movie. I don't think your an idiot just misinformed. You want superb acting try Lonsome dove every big name from hollywood is in there it kicks ass. Open range superb acting...... nah hang on you are a fucking idiot

  • @Richard Eldon, your priorities are in the $hitter and you're direction-less for where you fit in !

Even the good Lord is looking down on you shaking his head, in disbelief wondering if he was having a bad day! Wow , do you have a meaningful purpose in life ? Or are you just scum that society looks to rid itself of ? If we pray for people like you we show our creator the good in us . I personally find it quite challenging to direct a prayer in your direction. So I have work to do. Good-bye !

  • @RichardElden

    You're an idiot.

  • Rio Bravo MY FAVORITE western Ricky Nelson Dean Martin John Wayne and Walter Brennan oh they were the greatest men in entertainment and then some butt head crap talks one of them SHAME ON YOU BUTT HEAD!!!!!!

  • dean martin was the best i have listened to him since he first appeared in the my freind irma movies and i am a ausie

  • i am 29 and i love this movie.

  • @MrHeadshot1982 same here, im sure both of us probably could've said this when we were much younger too :)

im glad im ont the only "young folk" that likes these oldies but goodies.

  • wahoo i am watching Rio Bravo right now and had to hear the song again.

    this movie is awsome.

  • THE SOPRANOS !!!

  • dean martin was my sister

  • What would have been so neat, if Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, and Elvis could have done a song together, Elvis loved Dean's voice and Ricky admired Elvis that would have been awesome matter afact Elvis did sing Everybody Love Somebody All the Time one time in Vegas, but no recording of it is around that nobody knows of.

  • Could listen to Dean Martin singing all day, and Ricky Nelsons voice is so chocolatey (thought that was a nice way to describe the delicious smoothness of his voice) :)

  • Amazing Song, These are the movies I grew up Watching with my Grandfather and my Nanna :)

  • they were brill man not like the shit cowboy movie,s now

  • this song is awesome, this movie is awesome, the actors are... well, IT'S' ALL AWESOME!! XD

  • True music not gay like now.

  • Very Nice

  • Young Nelson must have been in his glory to be singing and providing the music for a living legend like Dino. Kid did a nice job, too! Great movie. Too bad Ward got killed off early.......last movie he and best friend Duke ever did! KP

  • awsome

  • True class

  • CLASS MOVIE AND CLASS ACTORS,WHO COULD SING AS WELL

  • The Sopranos!!

  • I stil love them. Jag kommer alltid att älska dem, de var "super stars" megastjärnor.

  • Pie-O-My baby!

  • What a voice.. I loved Dean Martin. RIP-- There is a special place in heaven for him.

  • please shoot me, so cool

  • It doesn't get better than these three legends....:)

  • @RichardElden just one of the most famous westerns made

  • love this , makes me want ride and sing

  • @gjv1955

The fact that you feel the need to respond to such a pointless and unintelligent comment, simply places you in the same category of insulence and stupidity my dear.

Perhaps next time it would be kinder and more appropriate for you to smile inwardly at these so called "idiots", knowing that there's one born every minute. Hopefully you were not born at the same time the "idiot" was.

    Peace and One Love.

  • Thumbs up !!! If you think it was Silky Smooth !!!! OH yea !!!!!!

  • My favourite scene from my favourite John Wayne film.. Also, one of my favourite Dean Martin songs.. Beautiful-beautiful performance. Makes me want to bust out my guitar, light up a cigarette, go side outside in the sun, and just play

  • I saw it when it came out. It NEVER loses it's appeal. The harmony is exquisite! and timeless.

  • god this should have been in Fallout:NV.

  • @UnaSolida dude, totally!

  • @UnaSolida Seriously.

  • Class song, class movie; loved Deano's performance in this movie too

  • the best

  • Love this. I don't think I can watch it enough!

  • Love this! Thanks for posting. We saw this for the first time a few weeks ago and recognized the melody right away from 'Red River'. What an awesome idea to have 2 such wonderful voices duet on this. H. Hawks & D. Tiomkin= genius.

  • @RichardElden Your a cold cold son of a bitch.

  • @RichardElden And I am sorry even though your mom sucks cock for money she didn`t spare one cent to give you any kind of education

  • crazy sexy...

  • I love this so much, such a strong voice, I can listen to this very often, brings me back to the good times, caro

  • I listen to metalcore and other heavy stuff, but hell, this is the song of the real men.

  • A great song by a great Man

  • Drei Dinge braucht der Mann eine Gitarre deine Rifle und dein Pferd! Mfg Günter Draxler

  • The best duet ever. I could listen to that song all day. Wish they did an album. I wish Dean was still around to sing to us and make us laugh. What a great guy.

  • @OKRhys

You're right they're a joy to listen to, I wish they were both still around. I had my first crush on Ricky Nelson when I was a young teenager. I still have all his records. Isn't YouTube wonderful? It lets us see our heroes just by pressing a few keys:)

  • Dean Martin had the best voice in my opinion...I grew up watching this movie with dad. Love it!

  • @RichardElden Then why are you watching a video of it?

  • This film is pretty slow moving compared to what we have today...but still it's one of my favorites. Dean does an excellent job of acting...he's trying to quit the bottle.

And you can see Wayne and Martin must have liked one another.

  • It was the first time that we got to see a family having 'family time' in a western, which is why it is so famous.

  • This could not be any sexier. Period.

  • Well you managed to get a reaction out of me and I hope you are, for the moment, happy...Now you can go back to your pathetic, most likely lonely life where you hand is your only friend and lover if you get my drift

  • Typically, I wouldn't even post a response to an idiot. Dean Martin was my Uncle and I take offense to your remarks. What a sad pathetic life you must live Richard Eldon. You sound like a guy that has had a miserable life so wishing you one would be pointless. You probably sit around on the computer making foolish statements to get a reaction because you are a very lonely man.

  • @gjv1955 You have to ignore idiots like that. Your Uncle was the bomb. Myself and the world thinks so. I watched your video by the way... HA ... I am scared to death of heights....

  • @gjv1955 Was Dean really your uncle? I have been in love with him since I was a teenager. No one could sing a love song like him.He is the greatest and this was one of my favorite movies of his.He was my man.Mary

  • @gjv1955 takes one to know one

  • @gjv1955 lucky person. do you know if this song was recorded anywhere?

  • @gjv1955 Trolls gonna troll

  • @gjv1955 Takes one to know one.

  • @gjv1955 hahahahaha get um

  • @gjv1955 what a classy guy. Reminds me of my pops. They dont make guys like this anymore!

  • @gjv1955 You must be a proud nephew, Anyone who would slander Mr. Dean Martin. Is a Lowfife Sack of shit. I didn't see the comment but sounds like he needed a kick in the Nutz.

  • Richard Eldon you must be a very sad person. I guess being or saying mean things and being negative makes you feel good. Go on ahead sir and like I said we all die from something I guess you will die from plain old nastiness.

  • Wow being glad someone you didnt even know die of lung cancer is a terrible thing to say much less to even think. Who knows what you will die from.

Good smooth voices from both. I dont see anything wrong with the music being in the movie. What else could you do in the jail. lol

  • @MsSkhill what j55rod did get shaffted from behind in the shower lmao

  • Very-Very nice Thx

  • Very-Very nice

  • Very nice.

  • Its all a bit wholesome. There should be a Nazi Transexual in there somewhere

  • @Richardelden,

    your gay!

  • the best friends a man could ever have.

  • This song will be played at my funeral... Sleep well my ol' freinds. John,Dean,Ricky and Gabby.....

  • Dean Martin rox

  • When America was great.

  • Good sound, nice song. cool video.

  • 3 (!) good companions: my rifle, pony, and me!?

  • Wish I coulda lived in the wild west

  • @justismcconnell1 Great song and movie, but that was not the wild west

  • @KirkhamsEbooks What are you talking about?

  • @nuke54 That was Hollywood's portrayal of what the wild west was like, just turn off the TV and read a history book

  • One of the best!

  • great the best

  • HOW do you take an "A" on the harmonica while accompanying this song? It seems impossible for C-tuned harmonica

  • how in the hell can u dislikes this??? seriously 38 dislikes

    thats shameful

  • can't get any better than this, love it

  • @photoman65 Even better with a whiskey taken

  • Dean can even whistle better than anyone.

  • That is a good song the perfect singers singing it

  • Dean Martin in a western? Pretty believable. That jailhouse set looks as phony as the Duke's toupee. They don't make 'em like this anymore, thank God.

  • Dean Martin & Ricky Nelson didn't need to work at singing and yet they made a lasting impression as two of the greatest, of the greats.

  • It´s a classic

  • I WATCHED THE RIO BRAVO IN POLISH TV STATION AT CHRISTMAS EVE. I LOVE IT. Greetings to all.

  • Can't get enough of this, two marvelous singers and so great together!!!

  • Dean Martin what a great talent.

  • Does anyone else think that this is crazy sexy?

  • @metallicagods im a dude and i think its sexy

  • 38 dislikes? I am appalled pilgrim!

Who could possibly hate Walter Brennan?

  • This movie is one of the top Westerns .It had such an impact when it was released, one of the kids next door when I was a kid was named "JOHN T. " after DUKE WAYNE'S part!!

  • The Sopranos has introduced me to such great music. Thank you David Chase for such a wonderful tv show.

  • Con ésta canción, me enganché a las series del oeste... y aun soy menor! xD

  • Ricky was only 18 when they made the movie, but he sure held his own with Dean (one of the best)), didn't he?

  • How on earth can anyone dislike this?

  • next to Lonesome Dove, Rio Bravo i s thebest western better. And Angie Dickinson is hot as shit in this movie

  • does anyone know if there is a recording of this song?

  • "...And a crashin' blow from a huge right hand

Sent a Loosiana fellow to the Promised Land..."

Oh man, John Wayne was a tough guy!!

  • When i left my home, i have sung this song... ;( ... Great!!

  • Agreed. And both directors with distinctive signature.

  • - 37 people are shitheads.

  • why is there always some fuckin dickhed who always no matter how good a song or video is throws in a dislike, fuckin irritates the bollox out of me.

  • One of the all-time classics-John Huston`s straight-forward western Rio Bravo. Dean Martin as the drunk sheriff, young Ricky Nelson and John Wayne(and a young hot Angie Dickinson). How many times I watched it as a child and still always like to come back to it.

And how wonderful this romantic cowboy tune is performed-my pony, my rifle and me

  • Not to pick but the director was Howard Hawks not John Houston. Minor point...I agree with everything you say about this film.

  • @RogerHWerner Oh boy that is embarassing-of course Howard Hawks-why did I mix up the names-I love Rio Bravo and El Dorado and had been watching both many times since my childhood days and know it´s Hawks- of course-you`re to kind-it is not a minor point-even though both directors were great I believe-thanks for correction

  • Hawks & Huston both worked extensively with Wayne and each directed his finest performances: Huston=The Searchers & Hawks=Red River. Rio Bravo too is an American classic. Interesting it was panned when issued but then it took 20 years for The Searchers to be recognized a fabulous film, in the same category as Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon. Both Huston and Hawks are without question two of the finest directors of the western film genre.

  • @RogerHWerner possibly you're confusing John Huston with John Ford?

  • Huston had nothing to do with The Searchers. Wayne & Huston worked on 1 film: The Barbarian and the Geisha. Wayne and Huston hated each other's politics and Wayne detested Huston's directorial style: They never worked together again. This film was the fourth in a row that failed to become a box office hit, so Wayne jumped at the chance to work with Howard Hawks on...Rio Bravo, which was Hawks' and Wayne's response to High Noon and 3:10 To Yma, films both man detested.

  • Just warms the heart, thanks for the post

  • if im the only 13 year old here im gonna be mad JOHN WAYNE IS THE MAN!!!!! this and johnny cash is what i listen to

  • now if THIS was country music, I could listen. Besides the woman, the stuff today is just pop crap with men who whine as opposed to sing.

  • Check out Walter Brennan singing "Old Rivers".

  • Dean's more comfortable when he's singing laying down. Great duet.

Walter Brennan was a great character actor and had a talking record hit of his own.

    Danke!

    Liebe Grüsse aus Berlin...

  • I love this song...:)

  • @animi991... It wasn't posted to cause an argument you halfwit it was a bit of humour your dumbass comment meant that I had to post a reply & as I posted earlier shit for brains there's one born every minute & it had to be you..... :)

  • Children please....We all know it is Ricky Nelson but what great support from Frank Sinatra, Don Rickles, and Barbra Eden, huh lame brains.

  • @anime991, I'm aware that Elvis never played in Rio Bravo. I posted it to get a response from some fucking halfwit & it had to be you there's one born every minute you know an Imbecile you tool,.. :)

  • @thetruebrit85 how desperate does one have to be to post a retarded comment just to get the gratification of an argument with someone he/she doesn't know? i suggest troll that you get a life and grow up.

  • @anime991, yes I'm well aware of that I only posted that as I knew some Imbecile would respond as you did you fucking tool, theres one born every minute a gobshite just like you,..... :)

  • Love Elvis Presley's voice he's great in this movie,

  • @thetruebrit85 presley never played in this movie dumbass

  • GO STUMPY!

  • bloody hell , how good was this , im finding it hard to believe that their all gone . very sad .

  • I enjoy hearing Dean Martins voice. great movie.

  • I loved Rick Nelson when I was a teenager but Dino had an awesome voice and he stole this movie. I have the DVD but still watch it when it comes on TV. The theme at the beginning (when they are in the saloon after Joe Burdette) is actually The Ballad of Black Gold from Blowin' Wild. Another Dimitri Tiomkin score.

  • If I was making a movie and I had Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson in it, you can be damned sure I would find a way for them to sing it.

  • Mustard.

  • Who is the old guy playing the harmonica??

  • @Ilovepalakkad That is Walter Brennan. He was a fantastic character actor.

  • @Ilovepalakkad Walter Brennan.

  • My favorite scene in the movie! Ricky and Dean at their best!

  • i think walter brennan stole the movie as stumpy
