why does proactive keep giving me dark circles around my eyes and im brown skined is proactive suppose to make my skin darker i use it once a day is all these side affects cuz i use it to much and do you know why this happens and how i can stop it plz and thx

@JC187100 If anything, Proactiv would be making your skin lighter due to the 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. I'm not sure if it's Proactiv that is causing this, but in any case, you can always contact Proactiv support.

you say dont use proactiv after you shower. How long is long enough to wait? I shower in teh morning and try to wait about half an hour at least before i use proactiv is that long enough?

@TheSeanholland ...proactive has benzoyl peroxide in it. you're not supposed to use anything with that crap in it or saiycyclic acid in it while you're on roaccutane. proactive products have on or the other or both. you've just gotta let the meds do their thing & use gentle face washes (not acne treatments). it takes ages - you've just gotta be patient. my brother was & now his skin is clear as a bell, & he had disgusting acne (like intense - cysts & shit!). i envy him now!

I have been using Proactiv (consistently) for about a week and a half now, but the acne on my forehead has only gotten worse. Most of the tiny pimples aren't visible until I wash my face, but the others are still there. I don't know if it's just my skin or if I have to actually do it for 3 weeks then see if my acne goes away, because that's what the commercial claims....

@VioletSpanxx I think I do have sensitive skin, but now I'm on a different acne regimen that works SO SO SOOO well on my skin. And I did talk to my doctor, and she put me on Epiduo which doesn't work fast, but works well. :)

@YawningBoy proactiv has benzoyl peroxide in it and benzoyl peroxide does that... it's not healthy for your skin or body at all... that's why your skin is reacting. Mine dried up when I used it too... don't use it anymore though! that's for sure!

yeh u need to keep conttinuing ur program guys becuase the key to treating acne is preveterly u need to keep using ur proactive regime even when ur not breaking out cuz u want to prevent future breakouts , and if u find this doesnt help within 12 weeks then go to a doctor or dermatologist

I've been using Proactiv for a few years... I don't have many pics when I had acne. I hated taking pictures or being in pictures when I had acne... but dang if you really want one I'll go out of my way to make you happy...

By the way, think before you leave stupid comments that nobody cares about...
