Haha just bought my MFD for my GTT today! :D Saw this vid and love how it turned out on yours, getting mine fitted by pro's though since i have nfi! haha, got a wide bodykit and all show no go, still have to put the rebuilt engine in, using RB25DE right now non turbo :( very bland but still has some bite.
er no. the ER34 GTT is a real-wheel drive platform with up to 50% of the available torque available for delivery to the front wheels on demand. Perhaps you were thinking of the Skykine GTS4 which is permenant all paw.
No, the GTR's (BNR34, BCNR33, BNR32) are not permanent all-wheel drive. They're equipped with Nissan's ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system, which i said before, provides a torque split capacity which transfers 50% of the available torque to the front wheels, on demand. Truly awesome aspect to GTR's. The only permanent all-wheel drive Skylines are the GTS4's.
I must've been on crack when i wrote my last comment because, of course, the GTT's (ER34, ECR33, HCR32) are a rear-wheel drive platform.
mm... i kno what you mean now but how is the torgue split between front and back? is it a switch or somthing? coz arnt all 4 whell all on the same axel anyways?
there are 2 boxes called differentials, they split up the power to the axles (drive and prop shafts), in a typical 4wd system (awd if we're being pedantic), front and rear wheels are given equal torque, so 50% to the front, 50% to the rear (in most cases), and this is controlled mechanically by these viscous 'differentials', but in a GTR the split is electronically controlled based on various factors to give the best grip.
Continued: Right and Left wheels are always allowed a certain degree of slip, this is usually mechanically governed by the diff's, but in the GTR's case again, this is electronically controlled as far as I am aware.

This is the R34 GTT, you can tell by the look of the head of the car. GTT is RWD, my friend had one. The head is different compare to GTR.
