I cant seem to get the stylus/pens to work on the acer iconia. The pens have a squishy ball tip and the Acer doesnt read the sensing of the pen that well. Does anyone know of any good pen brands or how to get the pens to work with the Acer ?

Trust me guys don't let Acer's bad rep stop you from getting this. This is exactly what I was wondering when I was deciding on getting this while reviewing other Android tablets. But, after several reviews I decided to go with it, and I must say this is a really nice tablet. It has a really nice solid build, and the screen is nice and bright. The Battery life which some are complaining about is actually not bad at all. All you need is a app killer app from the market, which is free! =]

As far as my research is concerned the Iconia Acer tablet is a good tablet, but not the greatest. In my opinion the transformer by Asus, overall, is simply better, let alone the transformer 2, which should be coming out sometime this year.

I put two netbooks side by side and their specs were identical the only difference was the name and of course the price for Acer was 150 less then Gateway....ok so I ended up buying the gateway for the name but if I could do it again I'd buy the Acer. I'm now having to choose between the Acer tablet and Samsung 10.1 tablet...so we'll see what happens

Itunes has always made transferring media to and from the device a pain in the ass you can only add your media from your home computer. This device allows you to drag and drop media from any computer without Inoob software and it plays back more file types. Also to playback media with the Ipad2 you need to buy an additional stupid adapter this device comes with hdmi out standard.

It really depends what you plan to use the tablet for and what your budget is. We personally recommend the A500 over the Archos 70, as it is a more powerful and worthwhile purchase considering the price, features, build quality, and uses for everyday use. However, the Archos does provide shoppers a practical tablet for light use. Happy shopping!

I bought this tablet, yes it does play flash, its cheaper than other tablets, it has a decent battery life etc. having said that minus points, ALOT of times videos crash, or YouTube app crashes, the video sound quality is BAD, its not very smooth even though its 1Ghz dual core, not alot of great apps compared to apple. its a little heavy too about 700 plus gram.

This is a sweet tablet but from exsperiance don't depend on using a SD card or USB stick for memory to store files because accer and android being a free is did not make a actual driver for the SD card slot or USB I take it accer don't own android so no one put the time in making the memory card accesable if you you call tech support they will tell you to use a file manager to access the files on the memory card however this this information is bad the SD link is a fake the one you'll see not it

@savidex Man LCD screens are the same shit that LED screens: A Led TV is a LCD screen WITH LED BACKLIT, and LCD TV in a LCD screen WITH FLUORESCENT BACKLIT. The only advantage, is that the Led backlit screens are more slim than fluorescent backlit, nothing more.

Guys, I tried this tablet out today, don't buy it. The capacitive touch screen is really unresponsive, and I can easily say that it is only a little better than an average resistive touch screen -_-

@SNiPERFECTiON69 Hi Sniper! I recommend checking to see if the screen may need to be re-calibrated. This is often the cause for touch screens to be unresponsive or making inaccurate selections. The tests we did with the tablet found the screen to be pretty responsive. You may find more information on Acer's website :-)

But when I tried it out, I tried it in a shop so I can't really play around in the settings :( Also 3.1 came out today for this device, so maybe that fixes it :D
