  • If I remember correctly, the Earth has seen global shifts in vegetation in the past (e.g., in the middle Permian period). Does that mean that we should worry about current climate change only in terms of the problems it will pose to mankind? Because it looks like life (in an absolute sense) will continue to exist in one form or the other even if the climate changed a lot.

  • Climate change worries me a lot. I think our actions are going to have a worse effect on the environment than we can predict.

    By the way, is this rate of climate change unprecedented in the Earth's natural history? Because if it isn't, shouldn't we expect the plants and animals to adapt to the changes/other species to replace them (as would have happened, in the past)?
