poor horse or pony or whatever it is! its not playing up melioushly! its proberly in pain, or stressed or scared of something! it may have to much energy, or be going "argh ive got a predator on my back!"
I think you rode just perfect. Eccept for the changes where he got a little happy lol. My horse loves to jump them big too. That's because we ride more jumping competitions than dressage. She just doesn't understand that it has to look pretty :P
I could learn a lot from you though. No mather what, you stay completely relaxt, love it! Sad to hear that he is no longer with us. Greetings from Holland.
They all have bad days, Teddy was a pony, he didn't show it very much, though, this was rare. He was stiff from the beginning. No fault of his own or the rider. We miss you Teddy! <3 RIP
Aww, he's just keepin' it interesting! Riding wouldn't be fun if your horse is 100% perfect ALL the time! I love his expression when he leaves, totally "heheheheheh" face XD
hes so like my pony. I have a 14.2 who ive jumped intermediate on, and some days shed just refuse to walk or whatever and wed spend the whole warm up in canter!!
Haha. wow. i wouldn't say he is bad. I think he just thought the test should be ridden a different way. He decided he wouldn't conform, just like when he chose to be one of the only successful pony eventers. XD
@shescosmic424 so youre saying its the horses fault? it doesnt look like to much energy because there are just a few short moments where he is refusing the rest of the time he is going perfectly...maybe he was stiff or the rider used his spurrs to much or something, but i wouldnt blame horse or rider, since none of us knows either of them...but its still better to check the riders for faults then the horse most faults are rider faults...
@shescosmic424 Look you cant be so sure that it was the horses fault. It could have been the rider's fault. I have seen a horse with "too much" energey. The rider could have pulled on the reins. You cant be so sure.
Ponies may be ponies, but Karen never, ever looses her cool. She just kept riding as though nothing were going wrong, and even gave Teddy a nice pat when the test was over. Karen is probably the coolest person I've ever met and a real role model.
Poor Ted. Must've been a rough week for chestnusts. My chestnut arab blew up at an event just a day or so prior. :-\ I feel he was at least in good company w/ Ted though :-)

snort.
you're right. karen o connor, one of the most prestigous and talented eventers in the world today, was defintely the problem here.
thats probably one of the most ridiculous things i've ever heard.
havent you ever seen a horse with too much energy? obviously not.
in my book, you dont insult the riders that could school you on any given day, on any given horse.
and, RIP Teddy...
